I have removed the reference to Bālā in the description. "sauṃ" is not part of Her mantra. In this kavacam, the reference is to sauṃ.

Thank you sir. I understood completely. One more doubt, here in the kavacham "Bālā mantra bījas aiṃ, klīm̐, and sauṃ" are given.. is that Sauh or Saum is correct? Thank you!

1. You may find it in the Nityotsava book written by Umananda. I'm not sure if there's any English translation of this book. The recommended way of getting it, is through a guru, who will grant it with the proper procedure associated with the parā dīkṣa. 2. In general, mantra recitation is also accompanied by the recitation of the associated kavacas and stotras. The reason for it, is to obtain the blessings of the attributes of the deity and protect ourselves from all sides, from all types of energies that may come to us during the mantra japa. You may choose any other kavacam associated with Lord śiva. 3. In my opinion, it should be ṣoḍaśi. If you are very attracted to this kavacam, they you may go ahead with self-initiation. If you are seeing any negative reactions, then please do not go ahead. It is not suitable for all. It is meant for those, who are very serious about self-realization and liberation and are also willing to let go of all material pursuits in their spiritual quest.

Hi Sir, 1) Where do we get the "The root (mūla) mantra of Lord Kāmeśvara", could you please point out to a source? 2) It is mentioned that none of the lord siva mantras will not fructify if this Kavacham is not recited? Does it mean chanting 'Om Namah Sivaya' mantra goes in vain? 3) Can a person who got initiated into panchadasi mantra chant this kavacham, with self initiation? 4) There is a path called 'Svechchachara' which means we can follow our will (good, of course) and do anything we want. So, as per this we can recite this Kavacham, right?

I have not seen this anywhere yet. The āvaraṇa (covering) deities of Her yantra, constitute the khaḍgamālā. If there is enough interest, we can consider publishing Her yantra and the related pūja.

The mantra is correct and She is mentioned in the word "cakṣus-tiraskaraṇaṃ". The prayer invokes the virtual reality manifesting Divine Mother Mahāmāya and then Tiraskaraṇi Vārāhi Devi, to remove the smokescreen and expose all our enemies, internal and external and drive them away.

Those initiated directly into Mātaṅgī Devi mantra mentioned in this kavacam, may recite this hymn. Those initiated into the Sumukhi and other variations of Mātaṅgī Devi, may recite the Sumukhi kavacam. There is absolutely no harm in reciting both for initiates of Mātaṅgī Devi mantras or for those having deep faith in the Divine Mother. As stated in the verse 23, nothing is impossible or out of reach for the devotee of this kavacam. All desires will be fulfilled in due course of time, if one has intense faith and dedicates oneself to Her worship.

Dear Ravi, is this mantra correct or is tiraskarini missing after aim namo bhagavati?

It would be nice if you share an article about deepams, how to make them and how to use them and when to use them. I am curious about.
