Śrī Kāmeśvarakavacaṃ (श्रीकामेश्वरकवचं)
Prologue:- The Divine Mother Lalita Devi is praised as the desire-fulfilling Kāmeśvarī and is said to reside with Her consort Lord Kāmeśvara, an aspect of Lord Śiva, in the bindu (dot) of the mystical yantra mandala called Śrī cakra. The dot has no dimensions and hence the description of the Divine Mother and Divine Father is beyond our comprehension. Those initiated into the Śrī Mahāṣoḍaśī mantra, after having completed sufficient japa and/or receiving spiritual enlightenment or elevation, may be given the mantra of Śrī Kāmeśvara, as per certain Śrīvidya traditions highlighted in the work called Nityotsava. This kavacam gives fructification to the mantra and protection to all the Śrīvidya devotees. There is absolutely nothing that cannot be achieved through this kavacam once it fructifies. It is to be noted however, that there is also a great danger to the uninitiated and to those revealing its secrets to the undeserving.

Nityotsava of Śrī Umānandanātha is a book on Śrī Vidyā, considered to be a supplement to the famous Paraśurāma Kalpasutrā, a treatise on Śrī Vidyā. This kavacam and mantra is to be recited by advanced Śrī Vidyā sādhakas (devotees), who have the ṣoḍaśi dīkṣa (initiation). It is not recommended for non Śrī Vidyā devotees, as it is a very powerful stotra and there are sufficient warnings within the Kavaca indicating the same in the introduction and benefits sections.

Hi sir. In general, most of the stotras and kavachas has phala stuti at the end. Do one need to recite phala stuti as well at the end of the stotra/kavacha to get results? Thank you.....

If you are reciting only once per sitting, then recite the entire kavacam. If you wish to recite the kavacam several times per sitting, then start from the beginning, but repeat the middle part from the 'kavacamārambham' section to the start of the 'phalaśruti' section, multiple times and after the last count, continue to the 'phalaśruti' section and complete it.

Hi Sir, 1) Where do we get the "The root (mūla) mantra of Lord Kāmeśvara", could you please point out to a source? 2) It is mentioned that none of the lord siva mantras will not fructify if this Kavacham is not recited? Does it mean chanting 'Om Namah Sivaya' mantra goes in vain? 3) Can a person who got initiated into panchadasi mantra chant this kavacham, with self initiation? 4) There is a path called 'Svechchachara' which means we can follow our will (good, of course) and do anything we want. So, as per this we can recite this Kavacham, right?

1. You may find it in the Nityotsava book written by Umananda. I'm not sure if there's any English translation of this book. The recommended way of getting it, is through a guru, who will grant it with the proper procedure associated with the parā dīkṣa. 2. In general, mantra recitation is also accompanied by the recitation of the associated kavacas and stotras. The reason for it, is to obtain the blessings of the attributes of the deity and protect ourselves from all sides, from all types of energies that may come to us during the mantra japa. You may choose any other kavacam associated with Lord śiva. 3. In my opinion, it should be ṣoḍaśi. If you are very attracted to this kavacam, they you may go ahead with self-initiation. If you are seeing any negative reactions, then please do not go ahead. It is not suitable for all. It is meant for those, who are very serious about self-realization and liberation and are also willing to let go of all material pursuits in their spiritual quest.

Thank you sir. I understood completely. One more doubt, here in the kavacham "Bālā mantra bījas aiṃ, klīm̐, and sauṃ" are given.. is that Sauh or Saum is correct? Thank you!

I have removed the reference to Bālā in the description. "sauṃ" is not part of Her mantra. In this kavacam, the reference is to sauṃ.
