Dhanyawad Krishnaji. I have been listening to namas/stotrams for years when doing chores/driving but only of soumya devatas. I dont listen to music of any sort nor sing any bhajans/songs. Given Mother Pratyangira is ugra devata so I thought I will check with you before I start listening to this Kavacham all the time. I have recited this Kavacham about 15,000 times in the last 2 years. To hasten receiving Her grace, I was considering listening throughout the day, hence the above seeking your guidance. thank you.

Good Evening Guruji I would like to know how to perform a Navavarana Homa. Could you help in that regard? Thank you Guruji for all your teachings.

I would suggest listening to something light when driving, cooking etc and not focus on mantras and stotras, unless you enjoy singing them or listening to their musical renditions. Each persons tastes differ, so choose wisely. Every task that we do has its own merit and it is best not to get distracted from the main task at hand. Speaking of cleanliness, it is more subtle than real. Meaning, our minds should be clean and the bodily cleanliness is secondary. One who is more forgiving and loving, is dearer to the Divine than one who is conceited about themselves or their clan etc. No specifics are mentioned in the tantras related to the siddhi of this kavacam. With unflinching loyalty and utmost dedication to the Divine Mother, we can achieve anything and everything we seek and more!

For every major deity such as Sumukhi Devi, we must perform the relevant Āvaraṇa pūja and recite the associated stotras, kavacas etc. Any Bali offerings can be made, if you are not following the tantric specifications. Generally red flowers mixed with clarified butter (ghee) may be used for Havan. Bali can be with red rice made of beetroot etc. Although we may offer various foods, the Divine Mother actually accepts our karma and shower Her blessings.

Pranaam Krishnaji. 1) Are there shuchi niyamas for 'listening' to this Kavacham. I am not talking about reciting aloud but to listen to with Bhavam while driving(while wearing shoes), cooking or while in bed? 2) Is there a Purascharana / Siddhi count for this Kavacham for getting Kavacha Siddhi? Thank you.

Indeed gratitude to Sri Raviji. I totally forgot on arctic blast. In spite of it you wrote these articles. Without Divine Mother's help it was definitely not possible.

Thanks Krishnaji. In the Daskshinachara marga, what would be acceptable Naivedya foods and Bali items for Sumukhi Devi? Do we also need to do yantra/avarana poojas ?

They are different aspects of Mātaṅgī devi, although the mantras are very close and appear as variants of Sumukhi devi. They can be seen as different aspects of Sumukhi devi also.

It is a fruition mantra.

It may not require any splitting for alignment. If you are unable to fit within a breathing phase such as inhalation, retention or exhalation, then split per your ability and chant. Normally, the entire mantra can fit within inhalation, retention, exhalation and external retention or if you choose not to retain at all, then recite once per inhalation and twice per exhalation. It is also important that you practice the alternate nostril breathing techniques for a few months to ensure longer retention times and slower breathing.
