They are very similar in their power and invocation. Bagalāmukhī's aspect in Śrīvidyā is Vārāhī. It is to be noted that they are not exactly the same and Bagalāmukhī, Jvālāmukhī etc. are found in the Āvaraṇa krama of Śrī Lalita Tripura Sundarī.'

Normally, if you have the associated mantras for the utkīlana, dīpana, sañjīvana and śāpavimocana, then recite those instead of this Stotram. If you wish to use this as a remedy, then I would recommend performing it daily until the main mantra starts showing favorable results or as instructed by your guru.

It is normally placed outside the premises, at the corners or a little away. It is to be taken by birds or animals.

This mantra has no om̐ and the correct one is rājānam̐. Mantraḥ: aim̐ hrīm̐ śrīm̐ aim̐ klīm̐ sauḥ om̐ namo bhagavate mahāśukāya tribhuvanālaṅkārāya rājamadamardanāya śīghram̐ rājānam̐ me vaśamānaya svāhā sauḥ klīm̐ aim̐ śrīm̐ hrīm̐ aim̐ ॥

What is the difference between the mantra om̐ hrīm̐ klīm̐ mātaṅgyai hūm̐ phaṭ svāhā । and the mantra om̐ hrīm̐ klīm̐ hūm̐ mātaṅgyai phaṭ svāhā । ?

Variation: om̐ asya śrī hasantī śyāmalā mahāmantrasya । mataṅga ṛṣiḥ । anuṣṭup chandaḥ । śrī hasantī śyāmalā devatā । sarvavighna nivāraṇārthe jape viniyogaḥ ॥ Mantraḥ: hasanti hasitālāpe mātaṅgi paricārike mama bhaya vighnāpadām̐ nāśam̐ kuru kuru ṭhaḥ ṭhaḥ ṭhaḥ hum̐ phaṭ svāhā ॥
