Krishna garu, Namaste. Request to please clarify on the meaning of 2nd line of dhyana. Total of 6 objects are mentioned in meaning. Does this form have 6 hands ? or 4 hands holding 6 objects? In the meaning of shloka, trident is शूल, स्थूल mean arrows? or strong/thick/rigid? Request to clarify on no. of hands and respective objects held by her. For the purposes of sāpavimocaṇa (curse removal) etc, this may be appropriate. I would recommend following the explicit instructions of the initiating guru for mantra japa purposes. Anything taken off books, websites etc will not work. A proper initiation is a must for mantra japa to be effective to some extent.

There are other rites that all siblings and even relatives can offer for the departed. Please go through these rituals as followed in your tradition and area to bring peace to the departed as well as to yourselves. Pitṛ tarpana can be offered every month on the specific lunar day marking the departure of the parent and also on the new moon Amāvāsya.

If Elder son is available and is fit and fine , But middle son do last rites of mother . Both son wanted to do rites . but because of family pressure elder didnt executed it . Is this ok?
