If you have Kali mantra from a Siddha guru, then it is like the ONE and ONLY. You don't need any thing else. Swami Siddheswarananda Bharati says : if you do 3 hours per day for six months, then even God may appear to you.

Per my knowledge, it is only for Agni and Kāma devas specifically.

We have to wait for Tripuraghna to come back and answer this and all other questions that have been posted for his input and guidance.

I use the four fingers (thumb excluding) method and touch the nose with the middle finger. You can also use the tattva mudrā. Both are correct.

Dakṣa and Dakṣiṇa are to be seen as synonyms in this context and that is my understanding.

Is the Vahni of Agni related to the Mahāmātṛ Vahni? I guess it looks like that’s just a coincidental name, but if it is subtly also invoking Vahni Devi, then perhaps there is a flavor/energy of Unmatta Bhairava in this ritual? I’m definitely over-extrapolating now, but given the effects/purpose of trimukhī rudraksha, it is interesting to wonder if a god of lust and attraction and Kama is involved here. Per a Bhairavite outlook, where the Ashta Bhairavas and their Śaktis (by whose power they are solely great) run all aspects of manifested creation on the orders of Ādyā Kālī and Kāla Bhairava (as fundamental organs of the manifest MahāKālī universe), there would be some Ashta Bhairava energy in every ritual. If this one is mentioning Vahni, perhaps Unmatta Bhairav’s activity predominates here. I’m speculating to the wind now, but I think it would be very exciting if Vārāhī Ambikā herself, a supreme goddess of great alacrity and physicality, is the power of this mantra.
