In pancapuja seems to be a mistake in Sanskrit. Mahaganapati is male deity, so पृथिव्यात्मने is kind of more suitable than पृथिव्यात्मिकायै and so forth with tattvas, isn't it?

The authenticity of Dakshina Kali, with her mantra, is confirmed by: Kali Upanishad, Kalika Upanishad, Shyama Upanishad, Parayana Upanishad. And which texts of the Śruti category confirm the authenticity of other forms and mantras of Kali?

Namaste, My sincere appreciation for continuing to maintain this site with such wealth of practical knowledge and guidance for spiritual seekers. Over the years I have contemplated on many topics presented here, and the questions and answers by other souls yearning for knowledge. Sometimes something very basic bothers me a lot. 1. How is Ma Bala's mantra in pankti chandas (10x10x10)? Is it like aim = 3 matra, kleem = 4 matra and sauhu = 3 matra? 2. How is the divine Pancadashi in gayatri chandas (8x8x8)? Is that based on varying duration of Hreem? 3. Does the Rishi's name used in Nyasa change depending on Guru lineage? For example, is it always Dakshina murthy rishi to be saluted for Ma Bala's mantra? Similarly, is it always Anandabhairawa for Pancadashi? Pranams Anil

I would suggest that you approach and seek an initiation and/or permission from Sivapremananda ji to practice the kavacam in its entirety.

If there is a Viniyoga, then most likely there will be nyāsas and it would then become a mantra kavacam or strotram. In cases such as these, a separate initiation to the relevant kavacam/stotram is required. Removing the prerequisites and simply reciting the body of the verses is not reccommended, unless otherwise advised explicitly by one's guru. My sincere suggestion is to follow the entire procedure after seeking permission/initiation from your guru.

Technically the śāpavimocaṇa mantras apply to the specified mantras. The general practice seems to be to recite them even if we are performing japa for a different mantra of the same deity. It is however not necessary, but there is no harm in reciting them nevertheless.Sometimes there are other hidden mantras that we are not aware of, but those may get revealed to the sincere sādhaka in due course of time by the grace of the deity.
