Ravi - Mahakali has only 2/krīṁ not 3? Can this pattern 3/krīṁ, 2/hūṁ, 2/hrīṁ be used for 5/6/7/8? For example: om krīṁ krīṁ krīṁ hūṁ hūṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ dhanakālyai krīṁ krīṁ krīṁ hūṁ hūṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ svāhā. Thank You!

There are two types of Mahākāli mantra, one with 3 krīṁ and another with two krīṁ. However, there is no change in the number of hūṁ and hrīṁ. Almost in all Kāli mantras there are a number of variations.

To my knowledge it is about initiation. It also talks about how entering into another body can be achieved. If one is initiated this way, the aspirant could get this siddhi, etc. I was also told that this piece is from Atharva Veda. I will get the correct translation by Tuesday and I will post that here.

am sorry to make you upset. But, please understand one thing. I am doing my best within my limitations. It is a single man show with no assistance for anything. Further, I can write about what I know and understand. I do not practice any Kālī mantras. I wrote about these mantras, as these mantras are not easily available.
As far as I am concerned, I never judge anyone based on their knowledge and skills. My sole intention is to transform everyone into spiritual path so that they can attain liberation. In fact, I take pleasure in dealing with someone, whose spiritual knowledge is limited. Secondly, your question was not very clear. Kindly be more specific in your questions. First, I should be able to understand the question and then only I can decide whether I am capable of resolving that question arises. You should never be upset for these issues. I fully understand your concern and I am sorry You can also write to me directly at ravi@manblunder.com. Ravi - on May 5 you said - "Our first duty should be verify the correctness of the mantras".Keeping this in mind I asked - Mahakali has only 2/krīṁ not 3? Can this pattern 3/krīṁ, 2/hūṁ, 2/hrīṁ be used for 5/6/7/8? For example: om krīṁ krīṁ krīṁ hūṁ hūṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ dhanakālyai krīṁ krīṁ krīṁ hūṁ hūṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ svāhā. You did not answer this. You replied - There are two types of Mahākāli mantra, one with 3 krīṁ and another with two krīṁ. However, there is no change in the number of hūṁ and hrīṁ.To make sure I got it I asked for verification - Mahākāli mantra with 3 krīṁ - will it look this - krīṁ krīṁ krīṁ hūṁ hūṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ mahākāli krīṁ krīṁ krīṁ hūṁ hūṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ svahā - you did not answer this. These are the numbers and names you provided - 5/dhanakālyai, 6/siddhikālyai, 7/caṇḍakālike, 8/kālakālī - following the example I give at the beginning I wonder if it is okay to make mantras for these using 3/krīṁ, 2/hūṁ, 2/hrīṁ. I try to keep the posts short hoping you understand since I know you have so much work to do.

Mahākālī mantra can also be like this:
om krīṁ krīṁ krīṁ hūṁ hūṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ mahākāli krīṁ krīṁ krīṁ hūṁ hūṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ svahā |
That is it has three krīṁ, two hūṁ and two hrīṁ both in the beginning and at the end. What you have mentioned here is right.
With regard to 5, 6, 7 & 8, I think you want to find out whether this krīṁ, hūṁ and hrīṁ pattern can be applied to these mantras. This cannot be applied to these mantras, as they change the very pattern of the mantras.
Particularly I am not sure of Dhanakālī as this has too many bīja-s. In general a mantra does not have these kinds of bīja-s and if a mantra has too many bīja-s, it is called bījāvalī mantra (waves of bīja-s).
If you still feel that I have not clarified to your satisfaction, please write to me again.
I again apologize to you, if I have unintentionally hurt your feelings.
I still feel these types of clarifications can be sought through a mail.

Your Surya Gayatri is right. What you have mentioned here is not the bija mantra. It is one of the mantras. Bija mantra mantras there will be only one bija.
I have no idea why you are seeking these clarifications. In case you need this for astrological remedies, I would suggest that you go with Vedic mantras. Each planet has Vedic mantras. This is known as Navagraha SUkta. They form part of Vedas.

Also I am seeking these clarifications because I found them online and you are the only one that responds to inquiries. Plus the readers also give their input. I hope that you will tell me if the words are spelt correct, etc.Since you mention that each planet has Vedic mantras - can you please give the Navagraha Sukta.

I think getting this translated is going to be a problem. Those who are extremely well versed in Sanskrit declined to translate this. Not one, but more than four scholars refused to translate. As a last chance, I have sent this to a Kerala scholar. If he also refuses, then it is going to be difficult to get this translated. I was also told that this verse and its translation should not be read and kept at home. I am also equally curious to know this. But She will surely get this done, if this is going to benefit us. Otherwise, we may not have this translated.

Can you please post all mantras of Guhyakali who has different number of heads? In Mahakala Samhita it is said there are almost like 18 different forms of Guhyakali please let us know what they are with their dhyana?
I cannot get this information from anywhere. Everywhere I saw they are mentioning that Guhyakali has 100 heads but not more than that.
I would really appreciate if you could shed some more light on this aspect of the great goddess.

Most of these Kali mantras have mistakes, not sure where they were copied from? Also, these are not the mantras used in Kali Kula Kram Diksha - these are simply variations of Dakshina Mantra and used by Newars of Nepal. Navakali mantras are generally not published openly as these are siddh vidyaas and not mastered easily without special kriyaas. In mahakaal sanhita, the guhyakali khand says about 18 bheda of guhyakali mantra. Brahma, vasishtha, ram, kuber, yam, bharat, ravan, baali, vaasav, vishnu and other dev and danava has been said to have worshipped her. She has many forms ranging from one headed to three, five, ten, twenty, thirty, thirty six, sixty, eighty, hundred headed etc. Among it the main mantra and form that lord rama and bharat worshipped was of ten headed devi having 54 hands and it was the Sodakshari mantra. Continuing from ravi ji mantra on guhya kali Her different mantra are as follows:
नवाक्षर
The third mantra of guhya kali by ravi ji is of ten headed guhya kali(from vishvasaar tantra) worshipped by ram and bharat hence its also called ram and bhartopasita vidya. And in tantrasaar in place of kreem, kleem is used. Kleem and kreem both are called kaam bija hence either kreem or kleem can be used. And i think in the third mantra it should be गुह्ये instead of गुह्य. Dhyan mantra of this ten headed vidya is:
Apart from these there are other mantra of guhya kali. And Thanks to ravi ji for using all possible means at his disposal to clarify the doubts of the spiritual seekers out here and I being one of them. Take care.

harihi om
resdpected sir ,firstly i thank you on behalf of me and my friends who helped me refering your site where i benefitted a lot in the matters of vedanta..but sir do yo know the basic fact that a mantra of any devata is not only merley calling devata but the devata becomes the mantra and it because the breath of the upasaka?mere chanting without any nyasas and without obtaining it from guru PERSONALLY will remain just like talking about something not worthy to talk about.AND BEEJASKSHARAS ARE not to be chanted whenever and wherever we want to but there are certain rules and regulation like suddhi of sarira and asana and krama of worship.SOME combinations may have negetive effect for not following the rules like stated above.
Sir i am not of your age to tellu neither an upasaka to guide yuou.
But these are the basic rules of any mantra.
ONLY A GURU WHO IS SINCIERE IN UPASANA ACCORDING TO THE SHASTRAS AND IN VEDANTIC APPROACH(NOT NEO VEDANTIC) IS ELIGIBLE TO BE CALLED AS A GURU AND SEKER should find one of such by performing nitya karmas without selfish desires.no brother, mother, father or a friend is allowed to give the mantra just like that to prove his knowledge or without upasana.
Sir out of due respects i kindly request you to not to post mantras with beejaksharas like this.If u want to guide anyone please do it personally by email.
Bhakthi is an important aspect of upasana but it is not the only one.Upasana is complete when bhakthi is combined with shraddha and faith in guru and shastras also.
kindly forgive me if i offended you and i seek forgiveness from paramaba alone.
jai shri mata kali....

Hello I did not find these mantras in the text of the samhita itself. For example there are no Mahakali mantras. Also in the samhita there is a different list of types of Kali. http://www.aghori.it/Mahakala%20Samhita.pdf

Chapter 1: 42-44. List of Kālī forms: 1) Dakṣiṇakālī, 2) Bhadrakālī, 3) Śmāśanakālī, 4) Kālakālī, 5) Guhyakālī, 6) Kāmakalākālī, 7) Dhanakālikā, 8) Siddhikālī 9) Caṇḍakālikā. Mahākālī is not on the list. Logically speaking, Mahākālī must be the primary source of all these nine forms. And in later tantric literature, such as Mahanirvana Tantra, Mahākālī was simply replaced by Adyakālī. Now about the mantras. I have found almost all of these mantras, but in various tantric texts. Such as Aghori Tantra, Kali Tantra Shastra, etc.

And interesting information is in Tara Deepika Tantra: Kali = Adya Kali = Krishna = Moon. Tara = Dakshina Kali = Rama = Sun. Shodashi = Kamakala Kali = Parasurama = Venus. Bhuvanesvari = Maha Kali (or Kala Kali) = Vamana = Jupiter. Bhairavi = Siddhi Kali = Matsya = Ketu. Chhinnamasta = Bhadra Kali = Narasimha = Mars. Dhumavati = Shmashana Kali = Varaha = Rahu. Bagalamukhi = Chamunda Kali = Kurma = Saturn. Matangi = Guhya Kali = Buddha = Mercury. Kamalatmika = Shriyoni Kali (or Dhana Kali) = Kalki = All Planets.

Don't waste time on this. In the Shakta Tantras, the goddesses are usually associated with the Tithis of the Moon, and not at all with the Grahas.

Hari Om Sri Gurubyo Namaha Hari Om My dear Ravi, this is Stephen, in Chile. Santosh Kumar knows me. I have loved this particular page a lot and I loved the part where you said that you also don't fear these mantras etc. I have spent so much time studying the teachings of Sri sri sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati and other great Mahasiddhas that it's just silly to have any fear these days. It is important to remind people that come to this site with "don't share this or don't teach that" types of messages that we live in a different yuga. Remind them that if they are so full of fear then they should take it up with Bhairava before they come to tell us to put back on our clothes lol :-). Sorry, an avadhuta type of joke. I have chanted the Guhya Kali Sahasranama many times and it was very beneficial. I have chanted so many mantras and Santosh Kumar never told me I couldn't. He was right. No sadhana is ever wasted when the Upasaka is totally in love with the Goddess. This comes first. Please know of my love and respect. I wanted to ask if you have ever seen a translation of the Guhya Kali Sahasranama. I couldn't even find an audio recording of it being chanted either. I just have an English transliteration. Do you have any information on this Stotram? I think that is all. Sri Matre Namaha <3

The authenticity of Dakshina Kali, with her mantra, is confirmed by: Kali Upanishad, Kalika Upanishad, Shyama Upanishad, Parayana Upanishad. And which texts of the Śruti category confirm the authenticity of other forms and mantras of Kali?

Mantra śāstra in general comes under the smṛti category and only certain verses taken from the Vedas and regarded as mantras, come under the śruti category. The tantras form the backbone for mantra śāstra. Not all upaṇiṣads come under the śruti category either.
