Dear Sidharth,You need not practice any prayogas. Just read SLN with utmost bhakti without any desire. Mother know well what her children need. But still if you want to read SLN for any specific purpose, you may do it before dinner time (after Chandrodaya) keeping your desire in mind. That will have more effect. It is always better to do metal meditation. Actual rituals can do if one is proficient in that.Since, SLN will give all pursharthas it is called Maha Chintamani Mantra.

Kṛṣṇa says in Bhagavad Gītā, "Arjuna, whatever actions you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer in sacrifice, whatever you give in charity, whatever austerities you perform, offer them all to Me. If you do this, you will be freed of all your karmas, both good and bad. With your mind fixed on Me by way of renunciation, you will attain Me.”When you fix your mind on Her, nothing else matters.

I have been chanting Lalitha Sahasra Nama regularly since 1994. I also chant Vishnu Sahasra Nama. Formely I used to place water, flowers, naivedya, lit lamps and agarbaththis. Now I am not able to place flowers or nivedya. Is it necessary to place them before the goddess while chanting Sahasra Nama. Kindly advise me.

Sri Aum Raviji,Thank you for your enlightenment on Sri Lalitha Sahasranama , there are some specific prayogas mentioned in the Phala Struti of how to prolonged life and remove illnesses and worshiping the Great Devi with these names on friday with 5 offerings, are these offerings mental like mediation or actual rituals? The great Goddess said Herself that nothing please Her most that reciting Her divine names, why is is called Maha Chintamani Mantra?

Antaryaga meaning of Gurupurnima:"Gu" means andhakara-avidya-ajnana"Ru" means Vidya-Jnana-removal of ajnana. In fact, there are no two concepts ajnana and jnana. There is only one that is jnana. The absence of jnana is known as ajnana. Muladhara chakra and Swadhistana chakra are known as andhatamisra loka. Kundalini near muladhara is like a tatillata (thunder bolt/lightning - sahasra light). Once kundalini activated from Muladhara and ascends towards sahasrara through other chakras, andha (avidya) will be eliminated and results in jnana vikasa. That means Kundalini removes ajnanandhakara. So, as far as internal worship is concerned Kundalini is also known as Guru. Once kundalini crosses ajna chakra, soma mandala fills with full light that is nothing but purnima. Hence, for real sadhakas every day should be like guru purnima. Om Sri Guru Sarvakaarana Bhuta Shakti:

Gurupurnima:Srividyopasakas may perform Navavarana Puja or Gurumandala puja on this day. In Panchadasi Gurumandala puja, there is Saptarishi puja also.
