Adi Shakaracharya composed Saundaryalahari out of pure devotion and love for Divine Mother. Naturally, he would not have prescribed number of repetitions of each verse to derive certain material benefit. These prescriptions should have been added at a later date by somebody. Hence, this is not authentic.

Soundarya Lahari 17, like almost all the verses, says it has to be chanted like 1000 times a day for 40 or 45 days for it to have an effect. Is this true at all? It seems rather difficult to accomplish that with a pretty busy life.

Thanks for clarification. I speak spanish, I'm still learning english. But now I understood. There's no Matangi mantra to recite before my possible initiation? Namaskaram. Om Shantih

Do not add the ātma-bīja to this mantra. You may simply recite it 21 times, as an independent mantra by itself, before you begin this Mātaṅgī Devi mantra. Please note that this mantra should be recited with a proper initiation and also with the accompanying nyāsa-s.

We are working on it now. Hopefully, in the coming weeks we should be able to post it.

This is a project in itself and will take a lot of time. I will surely post it in due course of time. It won't be anytime soon though.

Namaskaram Krishna, Thank you! Let me see if I understood this. Can I add the atma-bija in this way? : ॐ (atma-bija) ह्रीँ क्लीँ हूँ मातङ्गिन्यै फट् स्वाहा I don't have a formal guru or a diksha guru. Raviji gave me the atma-bija. Can I use it in this form anyway? Be blessed

Lalita is the name attributed to Shakti and is not a separate entity. Shiva is Prakasha, the Self emanating Light, by which everything else is made known. Shakti or Vimarsha is the one through which the Light of Shiva is made known. In other words, Shakti brings about the wordily process. Though both Prakasha and Vimarsha are different, yet they are One, wherein the Light of Shiva instantaneously diffused and the world is made known.by Vimarsha, the Shakti.
