Namaste Lucky. You asked a very important question. Lord Mahā Guru Śrī Dakṣiṇāmūrti says that there is no difference between Śrī Lalitā Sahasranāma and Śrī Guhyanāmaucchiṣṭagaṇeśāna Sahasranāma. Lord Dakṣiṇāmūrti says that whoever dares to differentiate these two Sahasranāmas is a sinner and has not understood the essence of Lalitā and Śrī Vidyā. These two Sahasranāma only speak of one thing: Śrī Vidyā. Dakṣiṇāmūrti also says that there are no differences between the Supreme Mantra Pañcadaśākṣarī (Śrī Vidyā) and the Supreme Mantra Dvicatvārim̐śatyakṣara (Ucchiṣṭamahāgaṇapati). That's the danger of chasing secrets: realizing that in the end there are no secrets.

The guru's word and advice is ultimate in Mantra sādhana. It should be noted that the kavacam will provide protection but to unlock all its secrets and experience its full potential, one must follow the prescribed pre-requisites. There are many folks who have been reciting this kavacam for years and have not realized its potential. The Divine Mother will continue to protect and guide them as necessary. Typically, my advice is to go for lower level mantras and realize their benefits before heading to the topmost ones leading straight to self-realization and liberation. The problem with the higher mantras is a rapid burning of karmas causing an intense turmoil in the material life. I continue to face this on a daily basis and take the help of the lower mantras to sustain myself and my family. If one is retired or has no material desires whatsoever and is ready for the higher spiritual experiences, then the Śrīvidya Pañcadaśākṣarī or any of Her higher variants such as Ṣoḍaśī etc. may be recited directly after obtaining them from a qualified guru.

I just came back to give you an important warning. This is an extremely advanced Mantra. You will face serious problems in your life if you practice this Mantra. I fear what might happen. If you try, Divine Mother Siddhilakṣmi will start creating obstacles in your life for you to stop the practice as it is unsuitable for you. But she is not just a violent deity, she is classified as tīvrātīvrā (unknown ferocity). So... her obstacles will be very dangerous. I hope you understand. There are stages and steps of practice that a soul needs to go through before approaching these more advanced deities. You are trying to climb the ladder on the last rungs instead of the first or middle ones.

Can I Know where is this mantra mentioned in Agamas? Also its interesting to see this mantra has Om added in it already...so do we need to add extra Om in it? Do we have the the mantra udhara of this mantra? Thank you very much..

Also the translation if vinayoga needs to be corrected may be to siddhilakshmi.....? nārada ṛṣiḥ । gāyatrī chandaḥ ।śrī siddhalakṣmī devatāḥ ।

I was initiated into a kamakalakali saddhana and my initiator said I can chant the kavach once a day. but he never mentioned the prerequisites u mentioned in ur reply. Do I not need to perform the yantra worship and shodha nyasa in this case since I was given the go ahead to chant the kavach without the yantra worship and other requirements u mentioned?

Certain pre-requisites, such as the base mantra, worshipping the associated yantra as well as the esoteric ṣhoḍhā nyāsa associated with Śrī Kāmakalā Kālī, have to be met for the kavacam to be effective. The recitation can be done once daily for 100 days to obtain the 100 count.

Namaste, I was wondering if in order to gain the benefits of chanting 100 times if the kavacham must be recited 100 times in one sitting or if u can do once a day for 100 days.

Namaste ji.... But KRISHNA is not affected by the modality of the gunas and says that He protects us by seeking protection in His lotus feet.
