Green clothing is suggested. You should follow the guidelines of your guru on all these matters, as their suggestions supersede whatever you read here and in other publications. The word of the guru is final in all tantra related matters. You can use the mālā of your liking. Rudrākṣa mālā is considered an all purpose mālā and can be used for chanting. A counter may be used in addition to a mālā to keep the number of mālā counts. For instance, if you complete the recitation 108 times on a 108 bead japa mālā, the counter can be adjusted to say 1. The counter can be adjusted depending on the number of mālā counts. Ultimately, if you perform 10 japa mālā counts, then your actual mantra count would be 10 x 108 = 1080. If you are using a japa mālā, consider consecrating it with the associated mālā mantra.

Is there any dress code for Matangi / sumuki / Shyamala Devi Sadhana? Is it necessary to chant with rudraksha japa mala or can we chant with a counting machine? Can we use a single Matangi Devi image to all Matangi / sumuki / Shyamala Devi sadanas or we have to change image of goddess according to the dhyana of each mantra? Thank you.

In Lalitopakhyana, Mahāvārāhi and Rāja Śyāmalā say to Bālā: “Why, o princess, have you actively engaged yourself in battle? Why are you suddenly despatched to the war front by the great queen herself? When the soldiers are present and ready, this is not proper. SINCE YOU, O GIRL, ARE THE PERSONIFIED LIFE OF Śrīdevī, recede from your enthusiastic participation in war. We are making obeisance to you”.

Namaste. In simple terms, Bālā has the predominant nature of Iccha Śakti, but in a more flexible and childlike form than the adult form of Lalitā. Every child is full of fantasies, but Bālā is an omnipotent child who can make her fantasies come true. Mahāvārāhi (Kriyā Śakti) and Raja Śyāmalā (Jñāna Śakti) are always close by to serve Bālā and bring balance to her childlike nature, forming the path of Iccha, Jñāna and Kriyā Śaktis. This does not mean that Bālā is just Iccha Śakti. This is not true. Bālā has Iccha, Jñāna and Kriyā Śaktis within her, but Mahāvārāhi and Rājā Śyāmalā are always around to bring balance to her childlike nature when needed. Bālā is the embodiment of Lalitā playful nature. Bālā resides within Lalitā in her adult form. Without Bālā the adult form of Lalitā dies and all nature will lose all beauty. All universes will die into emptiness if Bālā ceases to exist. The childish and playful side of a person should never cease to exist, but exist in a balanced way. A soul that has completely forgotten the childish side is not happy and loses all beauty. That soul is dead, even if it looks alive. Likewise, without Bālā, Lalitā would be a boring adult without beauty and all worlds would die.

Thank you, you have answered very well! Could you please tell us more about the Divine Mother Bala Tripura Sundari, her nature and why Mahavarahi and Shri Raja Shyamala always follow her? It is really amazing!

Namaste! Because she is in the form of the seven Mothers called Dhātunāthās (Yākinī, Rākinī, Lākinī, Ḍākinī, Kākinī, Sākinī and Hākinī). These Mothers are on the third step of Mahāvārāhi's Kiri Cakra Yantra and represent the seven essential ingredients of the body (skin, blood, flesh, fat, bones, marrow and semen). They are also in each of the seven Cakras. They serve Mahāvārāhi continuously. When invoked, they bestow Aṣṭasiddhis and protect the devotee's skin, blood, flesh, fat, bones, marrow and semen. They can also be invoked to destroy the skin, blood, flesh, fat, bones, marrow, and semen of enemies. When they attack the devotee's enemies together, they destroy their bodies completely, leaving nothing left. Mahāvārāhi is also known as the soul essence that keeps you alive. Mahāvārāhi keeps the devotee alive to fulfill his goals. If she decides to depart from a person, that person dies. Wherever the Divine Mother Bālā is established, the Mothers Mahāvārāhi and Rājā Śyāmalā will also be there.

Namaste! Why is Mahavarahi closest to people with their problems? In another version of the 108 names of Mahavarahi, one of her names is Bala. Does this mean that the Divine Mother Mahavarahi and Bala Tripura Sundari are actually one? Thank you for your answer.

Lord Shiva's blessings on centers above Sahasrara are miracles. They are not Siddhis. He bestows the power to revive even the dead. He bestows the power called Shabdamaya Darshan or the power to see sound with your eyes and hear with your ears. From this power arises the ability to reveal any Mantra, Stotra, Yantra, Tantra and others, as well as unknown knowledge. They are not Siddhis, but Jnana Maha Siddhis. Yes, Lord Shiva is Great.
