Hello sir, This description of Mahaganapati is the only that matches with images/pictures can be found on the web. Can I use this as dhyanam during the Mahaganapati Japa, instead of the one described in the dhyanam verse (bījāpūra gadekṣu kārmukarujā cakrābja pāśotpala vrīhyagra svaviṣāṇa ratna kalaśa prodyat karāmbhoruhaḥ | dhyeyo vallabhayā sapadmakarayā śliṣṭojjvaladbhūṣayā viśvotpatti vipatti saṁsthitikaro vigneśa iṣṭārthadaḥ ||) If yes, could you please provide the dhyanam verse for it? Regards.

Namaste. Is it possible or advisable to add nyasas for this to enhance meditation? I have tried rishyadi nyasa with this during Brahma muhurta meditation, and it seems to clear space in my head for better focus, along with perhaps some metaphysical/ subtle energetic effects. Would the following be correct words, along with the typical placement procedure? : oṃ śrī sarvārtha sādhaka kavacasya śiva ṛṣaye namaḥ śirasi । oṃ virāṭ namaḥ mukhe । oṃ śrīmat pratyaṅgirā devatāyai namaḥ hṛdi । oṃ aiṃ bījaya namaḥ guhye । oṃ hrīṃ śaktaye namaḥ pādayoḥ । oṃ śrīṃ kīlakāya namaḥ nabhau । oṃ śrī sadāśiva devatā prītyarthe pāṭhe viniyogāya namaḥ sarvānge।

Whatever Guru says that's correct, and it would be correct for you specifically - is what my experience is.

Namaste Tripuraghna ji. Thanks for the amazing Nabhi Vidya. You are right. After 1st recitation, I rediscoverd my old self, which was hidden under Wordly tactics. The rhythmic flow is pure bliss. My humble pranaam to you sir.

I gotdeeksha of mahaganpathi from Devipuram founded by Amritananda Natha Saraswati and now maintained by his daughters. They taught me how to do the tarpanam(a little bit different than what you have written) to mahaganapathi and said I have to get right on with the tarpanam without doing japa first. They did not teach me the process of moola mantra japa and said Puraścaraṇa is not necessary because I received deeksha unless I wanted to have a darshan of Mahaganapathi. Can Tarpanam really be started without doing a sufficient amount of moola mantra Japa?

Namaste Tripuraghnaji. Is there a time of day most suited to this beautiful practice? If one is in a temple or puja room and facing a murti of Śrī Lalitā, are there any consequences from facing the western direction during recitation?

I’m afraid my mind is simply not agile or calm enough to perform this incomparable practice effectively at this time. Perhaps a practice like Surya namaskar will eventually enable success here?

Thank you again, Krishna. This is a very sophisticated practice. The devotee must memorize the entire procedure and carry it out with maximum concentration. The pronunciation must be perfect as they are garlands of powerful Bīja Mantras from beginning to end. Just imagine: Kādi and Hādi are the Queen and King of all Mantras. Kādi Mantra here is Lalitāmbikā and Hādi is Kāmeśvara. Saubhāgyavidyā is like a fierce lion advancing on your sins and limitations. The practice is initially memorized and done audibly. When the devotee becomes able to perform the procedure from beginning to end mentally and with his eyes closed, the practice is said to have become perfect. He will begin to feel that all other practices have become useless to him after he has learned this. How do you know if you performed the correct procedure? The first time you perform the procedure correctly you will understand what Ātmajñāna means. You will feel different at the end, even if it's the first time. You will feel indescribable peace. You will feel the "Pure Self" and have no doubts about it. You'll be sure you found something you've been looking for for a long time. Over time this feeling will become unshakable. You will act in the world, but you will not belong to it. Before you weren't playing. The game now begins after you have stopped identifying with objects in the world. The game begins now that you have stopped identifying with the ego story. Now that you know who your "Pure Self" is and what objects are, you can finally start playing (Lalitā). Even before you didn't really have fun.
