I would suggest that you approach and seek an initiation and/or permission from Sivapremananda ji to practice the kavacam in its entirety.

If there is a Viniyoga, then most likely there will be nyāsas and it would then become a mantra kavacam or strotram. In cases such as these, a separate initiation to the relevant kavacam/stotram is required. Removing the prerequisites and simply reciting the body of the verses is not reccommended, unless otherwise advised explicitly by one's guru. My sincere suggestion is to follow the entire procedure after seeking permission/initiation from your guru.

Technically the śāpavimocaṇa mantras apply to the specified mantras. The general practice seems to be to recite them even if we are performing japa for a different mantra of the same deity. It is however not necessary, but there is no harm in reciting them nevertheless.Sometimes there are other hidden mantras that we are not aware of, but those may get revealed to the sincere sādhaka in due course of time by the grace of the deity.

Namaskaram Krishna garu, thank you so much for this wonderful article! I wanted to understand how Neela Saraswati form of Tara Maa is different from the Nila Saraswati Devi who is the consort of Ucchistha Ganapathi. Are both of these forms of the Divine Mother the same?

Dear Krishna Ji! Please elaborate. Do I need to apply the three brahmarishi gayatri shapavimochana mantras before this process of recitation with nyasas above? Or the shapavimochana applies to another form of Gayatri with a long vyahriti?

Also, can you please offer clarification that in general, reading a stotra that may have beej mantras with in (such as saraswati kavacham for example or Narasimha trilokya vijaya kavacham) but skipping the mantra in the beginning that usually comes after dhyana sloka and nyasas incase if one isnt initiated by a guru in that mantra/nyasas specifically, is regarded as safe (may be ineffective relatively but safe neverthless) is it true?

Namaskaram Krishna garu, I have received deeksha for bagalamukhi sadhana from Sivapremanand ji of srividhyasadhana but it does not encompass this specific kavacham. Is it safe for me to recite this kavacham? Can you please share your thoughts on this.

Parasakti is worshiped for many qualities, one of which is Her Pativratyam as highlighted in "sudhamapya svadya" sloka...Amma would never kick Shiva, rather what happened was that, Shiva accidentally addressed "Gauri" as "Ganga" and was ashamed in a playful manner bent down to touch Her feet. Simultaneously She pulled Her feet back and using Her thumb gently pushed Shiva's head up and in doing so She activated His third eye, the same one which burnt Manmatha. The sound made by the ankles is akin to the laugh of Manmatha as ki ki ki.

Sir , is "śatrūnngrasasi" correct or it should be grasati Also sir , is sarvāstra correct or should be sarvatra. Thank you
