Namaste. Can Rahu or ketu be atmakaraka? Some say no but per my life path, Rahu atmakaraka and Mercury Amatyakaraka aligns much more than Chandra atmakaraka and Shukra Amatyakaraka, at least so far.

Pranam Guruji, I am beginner here. I just want guidance for which mantra or which deity we should follow because I am doing many mantra jaap for many years but now I want learn perfect path ,can u please guide me about that?

There are 7 Karakas and 7 Chakras and 7 Rishis. Out of the seven, only two matter to the wise man: Atmakaraka and Amatyakaraka. Why? The Atmakaraka signifies almost all your material and spiritual problems... it symbolizes the set of chains that imprison you. While the Amatyakaraka is the solution to all your problems. The Amatyakaraka signifies Ajna Chakra and Siddhi (Perfection), while the Atmakaraka signifies Sahasrara Chakra and Kaivalya (Salvation). If you mess with the Atmakaraka directly, you will invoke all your greatest weaknesses and worst karmas and you will have to face them regardless of whether you are prepared or not; the problems will simply be thrown at you without any plan. But if you work faithfully together with the deity related to your Amatyakaraka, that deity will solve all the problems of the 5 Karakas or Chakras below and will give you the key that will solve all the problems of the Atmakaraka or Sahasrara Chakra. Why? The Ajna Chakra produces the fruits of all the Chakras below it and is the “boat” to enter the Sahasrara. In addition to being the Guru Divinity, the Amatyakaraka reveals the type of attitude you must nurture within yourself to solve all your problems. It is the master key. There are other paths that involve working with the lower Karakas, but you don’t have time for that. Maha Pratyangira rests in my Ajna Chakra, while Lalitambika rests in my Sahasrara Chakra. My worst Karmas were related to love; I wanted so much to love like Lalita, but I couldn’t; only Maha Pratyangira taught me that before I could learn to love unconditionally as my soul always wanted, I should learn to be severe; people always abused my unconditional love and that is why the divine placed Maha Pratyangira in my Ajna Chakra, so that I could learn severity and impeccable justice... to finally love in peace. That was my path, but each soul has a specific and different problem.

I am curious as to why the deity related to one's Amatyakaraka reveals our spiritual personality and not Atmakaraka, the name of which seems to signify the soul. Also, is this is using Jaimini's traditional 7-karaka system (without Rahu) or the 'newer' 8-karaka system (with Rahu)? My Amatyakaraka is Venus, which is in Bharani in Aries. Which deity would you recommend is best suited for me given this combination? Thank you so much.
