Internal exploration means looking for the Self within. Self is omnipresent and He is also present within. What you have to do is concentrate on your heart chakra or ajna chakra. Knowledge means spiritual knowledge, which is different from academic knowledge. Spiritual knowledge is explained through various articles in my site. You can read "Guruji Speaks". I have discussed a lot of things in that series. When mind is purified, it calms down. When the mind is without any disturbance, close your ears with your fingers and look for the sound within. You can listen to the sound of OM. You may not be able to listen to this sound immediately. But with practice, you can surely listen to this sound. You can also observer how it is being synced with your breath.

Ravi, please explain about internal exploration? The Supreme Self can be realized only through knowledge. What knowledge? How do I learn to keep my mind under control?Your mind should be trained in such a way - listen to the sound of OM inside. Does this mean I should be chanting "OM"? for how long? daily? Thank You!

It is through mind, we can realize Brahman. Mind uses sensory organs to get afflicted. Mind is powerful than the sensory organs, provided you are able to exercise control over the mind. Instead, if the mind controls you, sensory organs become powerful. Therefore, which is powerful depends upon individuals. Of course, intellect is powerful than the mind. If mind is in doubt, it looks upon intellect for clarification. This is like a junior officer seeking clarifications and directions from a senior officer. There is no question of soul being powerful or not powerful. Soul is the cause; without soul you cannot exist. But, it only remains as a witness to all your actions. It never makes you to perform any actions. It is your karma that decides your actions. How can maayaa become powerful than soul? Maayaa is the power of soul to cause illusion in your mind. Brahman and soul are the same. When Brahman is “bound in a body”, for the purpose of our understanding, we call Brahman as soul. Only through a purified mind, you can only realize Brahman and you cannot manifest Him. His manifested form is the universe. First you have to purify your mind, which is full of impressions of our various acts. Mind can be cleansed only if you focus your entire concentration on Brahman. I am explaining this in detail in the series Brahma Sūtra.

Ravi, I need some help. Mind is powerful than the senses. Intellect is powerful than mind. Soul is powerful than the intellect. Maya or illusion is powerful than the soul. But the Brahman or the Supreme Self is all powerful. God can be realized as the Brahman in the form of light only within if the mind is clear or inactive to look within with the help of knowledge. To realize the Brahman is the capacity to manifest with the help of knowledge. You can manifest only if you have sufficient practice. How can I practice manifestation of the Brahman? Thanks!!

When Paramcharya is your God and Guru, surely he will protect you. You can without any hesitation recite Śrī Vidyā Gaṇapati Vāñcha kalpalatā mantra. But it is better you are initiated into at least Bālā mantra. The best option to you is to get this mantra from Kanchi mutt. In case this is not possible, please send a mail to me at ravi@manblunder.com.

Māyā can be removed only through knowledge. We can attain perfect knowledge only through a purified mind. As long as we are attracted to the material world, mind will continue to get afflicted. That is why I have taken up Brahma Sūtra for discussion. Every commentary on Brahma Sūtra is highly complicated and I am trying my level best to simplify and publish them, as I understand these aphorisms. There is no point in reading a scholarly article without understanding it.
