Honestly, I don't know how so many people have the courage to pray directly to Pratyangira. I read and meditate on the meaning of Pratyangira's Khadgamala and am terrified of what it says about her. I believe people don't know or don't seek to know the meaning. If they knew they wouldn't be so brave or irresponsible like that. Have they not seen that she is sitting on the Maha Bindu with a thousand faces and millions of hands holding millions of weapons? Then people come and ask me about Gandabherunda... they are friends and they act together.

Krishna is right. In my personal experience, I receive the blessings of Pratyangira sitting on Lalitā's lap. What the Sahasranama says is very true. Other deities started helping me without my asking. The Divine Mother Maha Varahi was the one who acted the most to help me without my asking. Divine Mother Pratyangira came forward to help me only against very powerful internal barriers. Honestly, within seconds Divine Mother Varahi breaks anything physical to pieces. Pratyangira acts alone only in more serious problems. Lord Sharabha and Shulini often act even before Pratyangira. She is the ultimate authority when it comes to battling something. My experience with Lalitā was like being the protected child of royalty. When the different deities started helping me without my praying to them, it was an amazing experience for me. Maha Varahi was the one who helped me the most against the evil intentions and dangers that are very frequent in Kaliyuga, especially for the head of household. I do not believe that a devotee of Lalitā or Bala needs to pray to Pratyangira someday. If he needs it, it's because he made some mistake in the past or left some important practice behind. A true devotee of Divine Mother Bala will never need to quell the anger of any deity because he becomes so pure and innocent that all deities will come running to his aid. The devotee becomes like the deity he worships and this must never be forgotten. How will Pratyangira get angry with a true devotee of Bala? No deity can get angry with him. He becomes so pure and innocent.

It is not possible for Śrī Bālā to stop Śrī Pratyaṅgirā Devi. She needs to be invoked directly and pacified by Her own mantras, pleading Her to calm down and consume Her own ferocity. As much as possible, do not invoke Śrī Pratyaṅgirā Devi for trivial matters. If you are in extreme danger or facing extreme difficulties saddled with burdening karma, then She may be invoked to consume the difficulties and help you march ahead towards spirituality and also help you lead a balanced material life. Invoking Her for settling personal scores with enemies, winning arguments, cases or political power, is not the proper way and in turn may lead to some other complications. It is safe to practice Her mantras after getting initiated into Śrī Vidyā and practicing the Sundarī mantras for a few years. When there is an inward and outward change in our lifestyle and spiritual outlook as well as maturity, one may approach the Kalī Krama and go through the associated mantras such as Dakṣiṇakalī etc, before approaching Pratyaṅgirā and/or any forms of Guhyakālī.

Namaste. Can Bala Tripura Sundari calm Pratyangira in her fiercest form, if not, then only Lalita Tripura Sundari can do it? In the battle between Sharabha and Gandabherunda, was it Pratyangira who stopped them? Or, as the Vaishnavas say, did Gandabherunda see that he was killing his devotee Sharabha (Shiva) and stopped himself? Thank you for your answer!

Pranam Tripuraghna Ji, what is the significance of Sri Kameshwar mantras in Sri Vidya? Also, if for organizational reasons Lalita Amba rules over everyone, does she rule over Ma Kamkala Kali as well? Thank you very much!

Wow. Thank you, Tripurghnaji. Is it suffice to say that Ma Pratyangira Devi sadhana covers the entirety of Shakti worship including all of the Das Mahavidyas? Is Her worship “all-inclusive”? I really appreciate your commentary, as it greatly helps deepen my devotion and understanding towards Maa and all Her forms.

Namaste Joseph. I will explain to you exactly what this Kavacam means. Pratyaṅgirā is not directly involved in this Kavacam. There are some attendants of Pratyaṅgirā who are present in this Kavacam (Bhrāmiṇi, Stambhini, Kṣobhiṇi, Mohini, Samhāriṇi, Jṛmbhiṇi and Raudri). The ruler of this Kavacam is the Divine Mother Tārā. Divine Mother Pratyaṅgirā places some of her attendants under the command of Divine Mother Tārā. These attendants are Kṛtyās or Goddesses of Death. The power of these assistants are beyond your comprehension. There are many assistants, but she Pratyaṅgirā "borrowed" only a few in this Kavacam. There is no other relationship between Pratyaṅgirā and Tārā. Pratyaṅgirā occupies a much higher position. She has the authority to command all deities to be silent or to destroy them if necessary.

Namaste Swati. The seed "sauḥ" is Parāśakti. It is not even transcendental. It is beyond even the notion of transcendence. It is beyond all descriptions. It is necessary to go a long way before being able to contemplate this seed alone. When you get here, there is nothing to describe. About your other question, it's 28 letters.

Namaste. To make it easier for you to understand. The pronunciation is similar to the Mantra "Na-maḥ Śi-vā-ya". The correct pronunciation of Visarga "ḥ" makes all the difference. People pronouncing it incorrectly changes the Mantra's meaning and the number of syllables, often changing the beneficial effects to destructive effects. The first thing a devotee must master is the alphabet (am̐ ām̐ im̐ īm̐ um̐ ūm̐ ṛm̐ ṝm̐ ḷm̐ ḹm̐ in̐ aim̐ om̐ aum̐ am̐ aḥ kam̐ kham̐ gam̐ gham̐ ṅam̐ cam̐ cham̐ jam̐ jham̐ ñam̐ ṭam̐ ṭham̐ ḍam̐ ḍham̐ ṇam̐ tam̐ tham̐ dam̐ dham̐ nam̐ pam̐ pham̐ bam̐ bham̐ mam̐ yam̐ ram̐ lam̐ vam̐ śam̐ ṣam̐ sam̐ ham̐ ḻam̐ kṣam). Common errors in the pronunciation of the alphabet are: "lam̐" and "ḻam̐" are not the same; in "ṛm̐ ṝm̐ ḷm̐ ḹm̐" the tongue does not touch anywhere in the mouth; "aḥ" is not "aha". And more..
