They can pave the way and set the right atmosphere. Kundalini is a powerful energy in the form of Parāśakti and we have to manipulate our breath and consciousness to awaken HER.

It is a good thing that you have posted this topic. As you have rightly said that God is both good and bad. There is no separate god who controls only good things and another god for bad things. If gods are too many, the very concept of Brahman or God is lost. If we accept multiple forms, they we surely lose our focus on the Self or Brahman or God and the very concept that God is omnipresent is lost. In God realization, what is required is only the mind, intellect and consciousness. Spiritual path is nothing to do body and unfortunately we self-impose too many restrictions on the body; a typical example is what you have referred here regarding monthly cycles. When a mantra is related to prana, how can one stop breathing during those days? Yes, you can chant mantra by lying down on the bed. We are not related to body. Body is only a temple and the sanctum sanctorum is the God within, which we call as soul or jivatman. In true spiritual path, the foremost thing is that one has to shed his or ego. By controlling and manipulating breath, we can control our mind and with the subdued mind, we can enter into the purest form of consciousness, which is God. Reality always bites and we do not even make an attempt to know the energy called God..

In understand that god is everything, that is inanimate and animate things. Its ignorance to say that god isnt this. So, given that god is all forms of energy -my question is -Is god inclusive of negative energy too? Is the negative energy or evil the manifestation of himself too? Given that energy is neither created nor destroyed and So exactly is stated in Upanishads about god/Vishnu. Even the food we eat is para Brahma svarupam- meaning form of god. we are basically converting on form-food to energy of the body which is god again. Also as we hindus believe that lord Shani is negative energy and in reality he is the manifestation of Lord shiva himself! So is god negative energy too? According to bible, Crucifus was a disciple of god and he rebelled against him. But again he is a part of god who is ignorant about his existence. Is that true? So Bodily cleanliness to chant mantras is true when youu treat urself as a body but when you realize you are that pure conciousness that is never polluted by any form of bodily or mind impurities- Is the cleanliness so important for chanting mantra? cant I just wake up from bed and start chanting it right away? And why Cant we chant during our menstruals- given that we are not this body at all and we are part of that pure conciousness too? Please lemme know. Thanks

Such gifts should be given to priests only. In Shastra-s, there is no provision is available forgiving gifts to women. But according to me, it is better to give these gifts to those who really need them. Once everything is done, invite poor and elderly couple and offer them food and give them basic gifts such as clothes, etc.

I am blessed to have landed on your profound website. My grandma passed away on 28/02/2015 and all of us are confused with the correct rituals. The elders in the family often rely on the priest to conduct ceremonies for which none of us knew the significance. But miracles happen that books of PURANA that once a boring and totally disregarded books NOW can be SEEN and READ smoothly. I was very curious of the proper funeral rites and somehow found GARUDA PURANA. Now I have barely a week to perform the 16th day prayers. Pertaining to the prescribed GIFTS-Umbrella, clothes, vessels etc, how do I give it and to whom I should give it? Should i just present the gifts in a tray and offer during the prayers? or offer it to the priest? Since priest is always male, will it be proper to offer saree and woman's sandals? I am confused. As for now I am offering Bhagvad Gita and Garuda Purana as these are what I could do. I hope you could shed some lights. May the Lord Hari dispels the darkness in my thoughts. Thanking you in advance for your kind time and attention.
