Thank you once again. The error has been rectified. Frankly speaking you can do tarpana also without break. Tantra shastra accepts this. It is better to do tarpana practically, than visualizing it.

Pranam,Glad to have helped. But I just saw the English version of #229:om śrīṁ hrīṁ klīṁ hāṁ svāṁ svāhā | mahāgaṇapatiṁ tarpayāmi ||Maybe svam should be deleted? If I want to avoid the break in between, can I do the Tarpanam as follows? Chant in my mind or chant silently by moving my tongue only and perform the actions for all 44 days?Thank you,Alamelu

Dear sir, it is highly admirable and commendable, what you have deciphered spiritually, about Lord Bhairava, from your studies of the scriptures. ''Continuous worship of Bhairava leads the worshipper to a great Guru''-behind this statement lies a profound truth about the Bhairavas and the Guru tatvam. I am not in a position to divulge this knowledge as I do not have the permission to do so but I sincerely hope you arrive at this through your spiritual quests and share it with your readers. I wish you all the best in your spiritual journey.

The idea is to slow down the breath. So it would be ideal to slowly recite the mantra by breaking it into parts. For example, I would choose to break this as follows:-1. During Inhalation:- Recite mentally and very slowly "om śrīṁ hrīṁ klīṁ".2. During breath retention in your lungs:- Recite mentally and again very slowly "glauṁ gaṁ gaṇapataye varavarada".3. During a very slow and controlled exhalation:- Recite mentally and slowly "sarvajanaṁ me".4. During the last non-breathing stomach tucked in phase:- Recite mentally and slowly "vaśamānaya svāhā".You could break the mantra in a different manner that may be easier for pronunciation. Ultimately, you may reach a state where the mantra automatically gets forgotten and you could be in deep meditation.Breaking the mantra and aligning with the breathing phases of the Yogic breathing technique, helps in a higher level of concentration on the mantra itself. It is very hard for the mind to think of anything else, as you're simultaneously watching your breathing phase as well as concentrating on the part of the mantra that you need to recite during that phase! The drawback of this type of recitation is the slow progress of the japa. But ultimately this may lead to a greater spiritual progress, than a very quick recitation using a japa mala.

Pranam,Thank you very much for this detailed procedure - although it is a little complicated....I will have to modify the pre and post prayers to my simple ability, till I am able to do it as instructed. As a woman, is it OK to break the Tarpanam in between the 44 days and continue afterward?Secondly, as I was studying your Tarpanam Procedure, I was wondering:#229 - it is given as om śrīṁ hrīṁ hāṁ svāṁ svāhā | mahāgaṇapatiṁ tarpayāmi ||should it be om śrīṁ hrīṁ klīṁ hāṁ svāhā | mahāgaṇapatiṁ tarpayāmi ||#237 - it is given as om śrīṁ hrīṁ klīṁ svāhā | mahāgaṇapatiṁ tarpayāmi ||should it be om śrīṁ hrīṁ klīṁ śrīṁ svāhā | mahāgaṇapatiṁ tarpayāmi ||Thank you very much,Alamelu Narayanaswamy

Lalitā Sahasranāma can be recited all the time. It is the most auspicious of all such hymns and verses. It is said that fetus is capable of listening to the sound around us. Devi Mahatmyam chapters 4 and 11 are also good to recite, but not the entire Devi Mahatmyam. Vana Durga mula mantra is also fine.

Thank you so much for your enlightening post. My wife and I chanted lalitha sahasranama during every 9 days of last navarathri. Now she is pregnant and we decided to recite lalitha sahasranama everyday since we found out about pregnancy. A fixed time is not very practical and hence we recite when we get time. Apart from these, my wife has been reciting devi mahatmyam (chapters 4th and 11th alternatively) and I have been chanting vanadurga's moolamantra (108 counts & occasional sahasraavarthi) everyday since last navarathri. Could you please let us know whether the random timings and combination of these mantras (stotras) would not hurt?

Obviously it will cause only good karmas. There is no doubt on that.
