Reverse Gayatri is sometimes called Brahma Astra Mantra(not sure if it is true) but per my knowledge this mantra should not be used in general.

Mantra siddhi comes after dedicated practice. We will not get eight types of siddhis in the present day world. Mantra siddhi in today's context is the feeling of completeness and inner peace. This will later on manifest as Bliss where you stay connected with the Divine all the time. When you are connected with the inner Self, you experience silence within as mind is subdued.
