For practical purposes or for the purpose of easier understanding, as we have seen in the initial parts, māyā is superimposed on Brahman. Through our body, we only look at the superimposition and due to avidyā we consider that superimposition as Brahman. Suppression of the transformation of thinking principle means cessation of thought processes in any state. When there is no desire, automatically there will be no thoughts. A yogi is the one, who will never have desires. Therefore, in which state he exists does not matter.

It is only avidya/Maya which identifies with the body but at the same it also the same Maya which will identify itself with the Brahman? Also what do you mean by "suppression of the transformation of thinking principle"? Does it relate to being in a thoughtlessness even during the waking state? If yes how does one lead a life (meaning doing daily activity etc?)?

Namaste Guruji, I finished ganapathi japa today.(1 lakh times). Though the procedure I did is not as mentioned above. So will it still do me any good. RegardsSharma
