When mind is afflicted, no mantra will ever work. You have to practice pranayama and meditation. Please don't go after mantras for finding solution to your problems. It is your mind that matters and your mind can be purified with pranayama and meditation.

Namaste Guruji, I am 27 yrs old. Just like other bengalis I am a worshipper of Maa Shakti. But as u see my age i have my parents to look after & other responsibilities. I do a lot pujas like Durgasaptashatipath, Durga stotram & Mahalakshmi Ashtakam. I do always face a lot of obstacles at work place. People never listen to me & I do often fall in trouble for being misinterpreted. People sometimes go against me due to misunderstandings & i often have to face their wrath. Half of the times, I am myself at fault. I just do not feel content even after whatever i have. I am always afraid to face any difficult situation. I am always pessimistic & procrastinate a lot. Please suggest what shud I do ? Shud I get initiated ? Which mantra would b better for me, Kali or Baglamukhi ? Since we bengalis are attached a lot to Maa Kaali (i consider her to be my ishta.) Or Baglamukhi since I always face opposition from people. Tho I know all Gods r same, I tried Surya mantra..but the dedication with which i invoke the divine feminine, i cannot do the same with divine masculine. I would be highly obliged if u could giude me. I sometimes see Kaali maa in my dreams. I have reaped benefits whenever I have chanted Durgasaptashati that too not in sanskrit. Divine mother has always come to my rescue. I wud b highly obliged if u cud guide me to attain divine bliss & fearlessness. Thank you Soumic Nandy DOB : 15 .09.1989 Jai Mata Di.

Dear Rakesh, There is no specific requirement as to how many times one should recited. Even reciting once a day with full concentration on the form of śrī pratyaṅgirā,, will fetch you all the results. In this context, we should not expect to be cured magically, but should hope for the correct treatment for full recovery. She as the divine Mother, will provide all the means to fulfill the needs of Her devotees.

She is also Shiva, Vishnu and even Brahma. She is everything and manifests in different forms, Or it can also be said that She takes over the role of creation, sustenance and dissolution. It is advisable not to take these differences and concentrate on Her alone.

Namaste. Thank you very much for imparting knowledge. There is one description of the divine mother is yet to come into my grasp. In fact, it keeps distracting me in my sadhana. In the explanation for Nama#14 you have mentioned "Vishnu is her brother". As we know there are other references too, later in the sahasranama like 'padmanabha sahodari' and 'vishnu Maya vilasini'. When we pray to her as THE MOTHER of the Universe and the ultimate Shakti, how to interpret these references (Vishnu is Her bother, etc). Kindly clarify.

SHE is perpetually present within us. Therefore, there is no restriction whatsoever, to chant Lalita Sahasranama, which explains Her Grandeur. You can chant this anytime, that is convenient to you, when you are able to establish total bhkati for Her.

The essence of the mantra represents Brahman itself. Adding oṃ or śabda brahman, makes this the 10 lettered mantra, which is more popular and widely used than the 9 lettered mantra. We will post this mantra next, as part 5 of this series.
