I would suggest morning time before sunrise, if feasible for you. If not, any convenient time when you can fully concentrate and recite the stotram.

Yes, one can perform the pūja even if there is no initiation to Her mantras.

Pranam Ravi ji, Is it okay to chant a bala tripura sundari mantra without Om prefix if thats how its given by a guru? I understand that as a disciple, I should exactly follow as taught by my guru. However, when I see information on internet that contradicts what I have been taught like papmochan mantra , Om prefix, nyasas etc, then what should be the course of action? Just blindly follow my guru without any questions? Regards.
