Both are very helpful. You can choose either, although Mātaṅgī is more popular.

As mentioned, it is very difficult to see any fruits of the mantra, if the curses are not removed.

Which helps more with learning and speech? Matangi or Tara?

So does Treem still work? Does it have the same powers as Streem?

This stotra can be recited without an initiation.

Please stick with one mantra. I would suggest you to use the one given.

Can you also please suggest a matangi stotra which doesn't need diksha and is chanted for wishes

Krishna ji, does this matangi satanama stotra need diksha to be chanted?

Thank you Jayanth sir for your kind reply. In the website, in one of the Kali maa articles it is written as "She is the controller of time and heralds all change and has the power to change the status quo and annihilate even the most stubborn karma that could be impacting our growth in the material and/or spiritual realms." So, can I go for Kali mantra until the karma is annihilated and come back to Sri Maha Lakshmi mantra to pursue materialistic gains? Please forgive my ignorance.

Mahalakshmi mantra would be the most ideal material auspiciousness. Below is the mantra ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं कमले कमलालयै प्रसीद प्रसीद श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं ॐ महालक्ष्म्यै नमः॥ om śrīṁ hrīṁ śrīṁ kamale kamalālayai prasīda prasīda śrīṁ hrīṁ śrīṁ om mahālakṣmyai namaḥ || Only thing that you have to remember is that getting immense riches etc is not possible by mantra, unless your karma permits.
