It is a weapon to destroy negativity and all obstacles. It will not remove our personal goals. We need to reset our goals towards spirituality, seek and understand the scriptural knowledge in the right perspective with deep contemplation and analysis. Once the mind is convinced and our goals are clear, then this pallava mantra can remove all obstacles towards our progress.

It can definitely be used for all protection purposes and reversing black magic, winning over competition etc.

Since war seems to be a threat its great that you share this info to protect ourselves. Can we use this puja to protect nature? Chemical weapons and missil can cause a great damage to our enviroment.

Noted. Also, what does tryambake mean? - the three eyed one OR the mother of three worlds? Thank you.

1. Anything related with Śrī Pañcadaśi devi requires an initiation and that's the reason why the Śrī devī khaḍgamāla mandates the same. Triśati and Sahasranāma are also mantras in their own right and therefore require an initiation. 2. Maybe sometime in the future if time permits, we can get to the different versions of the khaḍgamāla-s and their secrets. Beyond pañcadaśi, there really is no secret, although many later texts elaborate on ṣoḍaśi, the root and all-encompassing secret mantra is pañcadaśi only.

Amba and Ambika are synonyms. You can use either "tryambake" or "tryambike". However, "tryambake" is more commonly used.
