The world is full of charlatans who will see the sincerity of your intentions and will deceive you as long as they want, as long as it is profitable for them, arguing that the lack of spiritual progress is due to our bad karma, not sincere service to them, or something else. In addition, there are many demonic beings who are not interested in the spiritual development of people, and they will try their best to drag us back into worldly affairs and create all kinds of obstacles on the way to finding a true Guru. How can one find a Guru in spite of this? Thank you.

Mantra upasana becomes ugra, after an important stage. May be involving Art as part of the upasana can make this ugra energy litle pleasing to Maa. It may reduce intensity of the Energy without loosing the effects. If one is good in any form of Art, offer Maa worship through your art. Drawing Her sketch. Add colours by painting it. If one is good in sculpture, make a small Idol of Her. Singers can sing Her with praising verses. Poets can pen down words in Her praise. Ugra energy may be turned into Pleasing ones. Those effects can be bearable for sadhaka.

Namaste Guhan. Those who already have a Guru and are already practitioners should continue to follow the current path. The aspirant at the beginning of his spiritual path must first seek to prepare his physical body to withstand receiving Rājarājeśvarī in the future. There are many options for preparing your body, but I would recommend finding a proficient Guru in Surya Namaskar. He should be able to guide you for three years until you are able to perform 1008 cycles of Surya Namaskar in Antar and finally Bahir Kumbhaka. You will be able to perform 1008 repetitions in three hours with the Guru's instructions over the years. By the time you reach this level, you will have perfected the practice and be able to survive without food and water if you so desire. You will not have started practicing any Mantra yet, but you will already be purer than most people in this world. After perfecting Surya Namaskar with 1008 Bahir Kumbhaka cycles, you should look for a Guru who is proficient in manipulating and feeding on solar energy. This Guru is able to stay 5 minutes in the sun and then be able to live for 1 week without eating or drinking anything. He has unlimited stamina and doesn't eat or drink anything for years. That is the Guru proficient in manipulating solar energy. You must seek the favor of that Guru so that he can make you like him. This Guru will teach you solar science for 3 years. He will first teach you how to extract the colors of the sun with your third eye and distribute them to all the Cakras and organs of your body. He will teach you how to do this by looking directly at the sun's disk for long periods without damaging your eyes. Then this Guru will finally teach you how to absorb solar energy with the Sahasrara Cakra. At this level you will already be able to live without food and water for 1 week with only 5 minutes in the sun. You will have a physical body with power rarely found in this world. You will not have practiced a single Mantra, but you will already be purer than 99% of people in this world. Then you should look for a Guru who is proficient in Śrī Vidyā. The moment this compassionate Guru looks at you, he will be amazed at your purity and degree of preparation and will give you direct initiation into the highest Mantra of Rājarājeśvarī. After receiving the most excellent of Mantras, you will use your knowledge about solar energy and you will sharpen the Mantra like a razor with this energy. No doubt Rājarājeśvarī will introduce herself to you quickly and give you everything she has. This is the easiest path for the aspirant who has started the journey now. The others must continue on the path indicated by their respective Gurus.

Those in close proximity to you also have the benefit of witnessing the power and grace of the Divine Mother! Pañcadaśī is like nuclear energy and one must have the proper mechanism to be able to access and harness this energy. It is definitely the Divine Mother protecting the sādhaka by making them unconscious. My personal recommendation is to stick to the aṇga mantras of Bālā, Śyāmalā, Vārāhī, Aśvarūḍhā and Sampatkarī for a much longer time. Those with great obstacles must also consider Mahāgaṇapati. Those lacking will power and in constant fear may also benefit from Dakṣina Kāli and those with great financial burdens should consider Svarnākarṣaṇa Bhairava sādhanas too. Always work with the less powerful and more accessible/beneficial deities before considering higher/highest sādhanas. We cannot get a Ph.D. without the graduation degree and the proper thesis.
