Shiva is going to speak about this in this series. Truth always hurts, but Truth is always remains as Truth only. Most of the Scriptures have dealt with so many things, that are contradictory the basic principles of Vedas. These Scriptures are often wrongly interpreted to suit our convenience. Where is the question of subtle body after death? What is subtle body? It consists of sheaths of intellect and mind. Subtle body also dies along with the gross body. If the subtle body is also transmigrated, then we should be remembering about past births. Heaven and hell are relative terms with regard to cosmic planes. All this will be dealt with in this series.

Indeed the rationale behind Sraddha is not clearly outlined in the scriptures, with respect to the various conditions that the subtle body might be subjected to. For Instance, in heaven, there is no hunger etc. so no need for food, water etc. Again on reincarnation, the body will be provided with food according to its karma. In hell, who knows whether body takes the food offered in Sraddha.... and Yama has no budget for "feeding" the inmates? I'm yet to come across a credible explanation for Sraddha in my lifetime, only lame reasoning.

I am not Guruji!!! My name is Ravi. Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa is performed only on the 12th day after death. What I meant was that no other apara rites for that departed soul should be performed after performing Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa. After sapiṇḍīkaraṇa, next day (13th day) auspicious functions are performed. However, monthly rites, etc can be done as prescribed in śāstra-s.

Guruji,My Father is thinking to perform Sapindikarana Shraddha to cover all his departed elders. His Father & Mother have passed away in 1994 & 1997 respectively. Now, a known Priest has suggested his to perform this Sapindikarana Shraddha & Thila home to help departed souls to find mukthi & indirectly we will get relief from our Problems (Health, Finance, Shatru Kata, Etc). I read in your above article that once Sapindikarana is performed, he sould not perform individual rites again. What is the meaning of this sentence ? Does it mean that he can not perform Yearly Ceremony of his Mother & Father ? Kindly advise.

Don't feel sorry. All of us are learning everyday and most importantly we learn through our experience. Beyond astrology, there is the concept of karma. We are bound by karma. Secondly, astrology can be taken only for a broader guidance and it is difficult to address specifics. Astrological remedies can give only psychological support and surely such remedies cannot override our karmas. To a certain extent, some issues can be solved through recitation of certain mantras. Spending money on remedies, according to me will not help. Coming back to your question, every person has his or her own karma. Even though many are born at the same time, their experience is according to their karmic account.

Sorry Ravi ji. One more question is I have about astology and astrological predctions? How true it is? There will be so many people born at the same time and same day everyday? Why some have such extreme luck and other dont have?

OMG! My name is Ravi and not manblunder. That is my site. Thank you for taking up this topic. What you have mentioned is absolutely true. Particularly in spiritual path and health care are worst affected, as I do not want to discuss about corruption, though we are aware of this. Out of the sum total of karma, a portion is carved out to spend during this birth. When someone cheats in spiritual life and health care, they accrue huge karmas and override the karma that is made to spend in this birth. In such an eventuality, not only he is affected, but also his entire generation is affected. How can one pledge his or her conscience to make money? How can one make money and indulge in uncivilized acts in spiritual world? Is God so cheap? People are equally responsible for this situation. Such ruthless creatures are to be identified and exposed.
