In this Śyāmalā Navarātri I will talk about the Great Minister as Mudriṇī. Reader, know that your body is a miniature of the Macrocosm. When Kuṇḍalinī is sleeping, your body is only the Microcosm, but when Kuṇḍalinī wakes up, your body becomes the Macrocosm and the Microcosm simultaneously. Now open your palms and look at them. Your hands are Śrī Rāja Śyāmalā, the hands of God or Lalitā. Through your hands you can control the Microcosm and the Macrocosm. Your hands work like a "remote control" where you can manage and control everything. All Mantras can be replicated through specific Hand gestures. Forget other gestures with your body, the gesture of your hands alone can generate the same effect as reciting a specific Mantra. But you must know how to perform the hand gesture. The Queen of all Mudras is the famous Sarvayonimudrā (although almost everyone does not know the correct way to perform it). This Mudra is done only with the hands and generates the same effect as reciting the Pañcadaśākṣarī Mantra. This Mudra invokes Bindu and removes all defects from anything you speak. Everything you say will be perfect. When I recite the Pañcadaśākṣarī or display the Sarvayonimudrā alone there is no difference in the effects. This is how important Śrī Rāja Śyāmalā is. She is the hands of God. She acts in the name of the Queen and can do, undo and do nothing, according to her wishes. All Mantras have a corresponding hand gesture. Rāja Śyāmalā is that. Mudriṇī is that Minister who manifests herself like all Mudrās and who can do anything in the name of the Queen. Look at your hands again. They are Rāja Śyāmalā and you can control the Microcosm and the Macroscosm with them alone. Mudriṇī are one of Śyāmalā's sixteen favorite names.

I am one of those people who doesn't believe every mantra is the same and that there is no harm chanting different mantras. The reason is simple, I don't believe upasana is a negotiation between devata and sadhaka. I believe the only reason any of us should chant a mantra is devotion. I can worship Mahaganapati at muladhara, Bala Tripura Sundari at svadistana, Durga at manipura, Matangi at Anahata, Dattatreya at vishudhi, shiva at ajña and Panchadashi at sahasrara. I think that if we make people feel in error for chanting the mantras they want to, then we have committed a great offense because no devotion to God is ever wasted. Mother loves me and I love her. How does she teach me to love her? Honestly this is why I am kaula... I love Devi by loving her creation. I love the children she has made. I am in awe of her beauty everywhere. In india they call her Bhuvaneshvari .In South America they call her Pachamana. Devi is delighted that we love her creation and that we don't claim to own any of it. So my advice is simple, don't put a cage around my children...

We don't know for certain, but I certainly hope Tripuraghna returns. The closing nyāsas are now posted in this article and I have concluded it for the time being. If and when we get the esoteric meanings of each mantra, then a follow-up article will be posted in the same category.

I believe this mantra is published in the Mantra Maharṇava. When time permits, we will publish the complete vidhi.

Namaste PN ji. You can travel with a small puja kit. Small pic of the Deity, some cotton bati dipped in ghee in a box. Match box, a pack of misri ( small pcs of raw sugar ) for bhog. Keep pic or small vigrah of Deity, covered in Red cloth in a wooden box. While travelling whenever you get free time, perform your puja in front of pic or small idol of God. Offer diya, bhog in a small plate. Even dhup sticks can be offered. This is quite practical. Some people carry even small homa kit.

The closing nyāsas will be posted in a separate article. I was actually waiting to see if Tripuraghna would provide the esoteric meaning of the separate mantras constituting this Vidyā, so that could become the epilogue. I will definitely go ahead and post the closing nyāsas and conclude the article for now. It can be opened up as and when we receive input from learned experts like Lorran, Tivra, Tripuraghna, Jothi and others of similar calibre and expertise.
