om klīṁ krīṁ hūṁ kroṁ sphroṁ kāmakalākāli sphroṁ kroṁ hūṁ krīṁ klīṁ svāhā |It is to be noted that klīṁ, krīṁ, hūṁ, kroṁ and sphroṁ in the beginning are placed in the reverse order after kāmakalākāli. This is generally known as sampuṭaka (encasing), which makes a mantra extremely powerful.

There is nothing much to give meaning for this mantra, as the highest potency is conferred only by the bīja-s, some of them of difficult to pronounce. Word pātu is frequently repeated here and pāta means protection. Thirty four Devi-s mentioned here protect different body parts. Thanks for your good words and prayers. All this is possible only due to HER GRACE.

Scriptures say that the best time to recite mantras is early in the morning, before sunrise. But according to me (from my own experience), the best time would be when the mind is free.

It is Mahākālasaṁhitā and not as mentioned previously. It is in the form of conversation between Mahākāla and Devi and fairly a lengthy one.
