SirIt is said Varahi destroys evil,while there are opinion that Baglamukhi is used for evil purposes?How is this contraction?

There is no explanation for this. But 'ra' is agni bija. It is one of the powerful auspicious bija-s. But at the same time, as for hlrīṁ is concerned, it is made silent because, agni bija has also the power for captivating and arresting and all other such activities. As she is already portrayed as an embodiment of negativity, probably 'ra' could have been made silent. Additional factor could be that the previous bija 'la' also has the capacity to cause captivation and arrest. Her inherent nature, along with 'ra' and 'la' could cause serious disruption, hence 'ra' could have been made silent. It functions only till madhyama and not at the level of vaikari.

Is there any specific reason as to why r is silent in hlrim and pronounced as hleem.

122 is a typographical error and I have corrected.it. Thank you. With regard to 179, what is given in the article is correct. It is only महामहास्पन्दायै mahāmahāspandāyai. Spanda means vibration, motion, activity (please refer Spandakārikā).

Respected Guruji,My father`s Elder brother died on 8th evening ... according to the priest they(father and his younger brothers) have programmed sapindikarana on 19th after 11.00 AM.The question is .. my uncle was alone ... he have son from first marriage but they have divorced when the son was not even born and second marriage wife passed away in Gujarat earthquake in 2001. so is it alright if they do this vidhi by their own or by any one`s son (like .. my father`s younger brothers have a son each).please guide.
