dear sir, while performing puruscharana, can we do the 10% havan, 10%marjan and tarpan of that days japa in that day itself rather than performing the 10000 havan, 100 tarpan and 10 marjan on the last day of sadhana? what i meant here is that during mantra sadhana, can we perform havan, tarpan and marjan part by part rather than doing huge amount of havan, tarpan and marjan on last day? Thank you.

Mukham bindum of Saundaryalahari is completely different from dhyana verses of Lalita Sahasranam. LS speaks only about HER Grandeur, compassion and about the acts She performs, as Shiva's Consort. Red colour indicates compassion and as Sri Mata (universal mother), She is described in red colour.

Respected Sri.Ravi, Pranam. Mother"s feet are also glowing in red colour Since She is described with wearing ornaments and having in Her hand a resplendent pot we tend to imagine Her as clothed. That part of Her torso is not described. But Her entire body is glowing Red and so from Her head to foot we have to visualise Her as Glowing Red. This is also explaind in Soundarya lahari "Mukam Bindum" which is Kamakala dhyana. If i am wrong kindly correct me. Pranam Sitaraman

Evolution (Darwin's theory of evolution) is a Natural process that happens in Nature. That is why Nature is always worshiped. We are also born, live and get absorbed in Nature. That is why, it is said in the verse, the command of Nature is the limitation of knowledge. We exist on the lap of Nature carrying our karmic bags, which unfolds making us to undergo pains and pleasures of our karma (what you so, so you reap). Nature not only nurtures us through our own karmic account, but also by the eternal law 'survival of the fittest'. We accrue our karmas through our Freewill. Survival is a continuous process and only the fittest alone survives. Though fittest survives, that being would have accrued karmas for its survival. It is a continuous process. Nature is the most secretive of everything that is known to us.  Verse two of this explains thus: Birth is not something new on earth and Nothing is older here than Death Without these two, there is no Nature The order of Nature is the limit of spiritual knowledge

Respected Sri.Ravi., Eons back giant reptiles lived. Monstrous vegetation was there. But all these were obliterated from the planet. We talk about karma for our current life!s pleasures and miseries. Now also we find animals predating on each other for their food and living. We also get nourishment by devouring vegetation and animal food. How does karma play a part in all these activities? Let us understand like this.  Sun is Brahman. Indiviual souls within us is nothing but reflection of Brahman. Reflections are only reflections and can never become the original sun. Similarly, individual souls remain individual souls till such time it becomes one with Brahman at the time of Liberation. Individual soul does not have all the attributes of Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Omniscient Brahman. Individual souls have limitations. If the water in a pot is disturbed, the reflection of the sun also gets disturbed. But the original sun eternally remains the same. Individual soul has all the attributes of Brahman, but individual soul is limited by our gross and subtle bodies.  It is explained in this article thus "Guru: Yes, there is difference between the sun in the sky and the sun reflected in the water. Original brightness of the sun is reduced because of water. Similarly, the original Light of God is reduced due to māyā. If you are able to transcend māyā, then you can see the original Light of God. You must understand that God is in the form of Light and this Light is the source of entire creation. Everything originates from this Light and dissolves into this Light. This Light is known as Brahman or God or you can call this Light in whatever name you like. Your effort to transcend the effects of māyā is Self-realization."

Respected Sri.Ravi, The reflection of the Sun in the pot does not have all the attributes of the Sun in the sky. It is only a reflection. How can we equate the same as one?Except for the radiance it has got nothing else. Could you kindly enlighten me on this please. With regards. Sitaraman Ganesh

Also, Please read the verses 34, 35 and 36 of Saundaryalahari as many times as possible, everyday. I have personally experienced the power of healing for critical diseases. Of course, Karma plays a big role and we also need to recite with great devotion and concentration. You should find the verses of Saundaryalahari on this website.
