Mātaṅgī is the tantric Sarasvati and is best suited for all arts and sciences. As mentioned in the article, She goes beyond material knowledge and helps with inner cleansing and unlearning. She finally reveals our true purpose and guides us towards it.

Which Das Mahavidya would you say deals more with knowledge like sciences, Tara or Matangi?

Yes you can. There is no harm. You can perform regular puja or recite their stotras or kavachas, if you have them. The mantras for these deities are tantric in nature and the due process of initiation, is strongly suggested.

It is a perspective shared by some. It is best not to aspire for any siddhis and let the mantra/deity help us towards our goal of self-realization. In many instances, the sadhanas are performed for material purposes. In those cases, chances are that some benefits may accrue and that could be a one-time affair. It is best not to aspire for any benefits and let the deity lead us towards self-realization. Unless the mantra is aligned with the breath and the concentration is very strong, siddhi or any benefits accruing from the mantras is very rare.

Dear Krishan ,Thanks for reply but it was my experience in 4-5 mantras which i left to chant due to some reason i never achieve that siddhi again , i asked for help with some other people of this line they also told that siddhi once gone never be gained again. one more question how can i change my name here in this website:)

You can resume chanting the kavacam. It is normal for the energy levels to dip and rise again. Complete siddhi takes a lot of time and effort. it is best not to aspire for it. Recite the kavacam with devotion and concentration, results will follow in due course of time.

The procedures should be followed for proper worship of the deity. All of them do require an initiation and are suitable only for those in the path of śri vidya. The pre-requisite is Pañcadaśi. The Vedic mantras mentioned in the introduction and the āṣāḍha gupta navarātrī articles including the gayatri mantras, can be recited without any pre-requisites. For the initiates, It is okay to recite the tantric mantras without the other procedures, after sufficient mantra japa has been performed and the mantra is aligned with the breath. Until such time, it is best to follow the entire procedure.

I have been reading all your articles on Devi Varahi, and I have a question. If I am unable to do the entire detailed procedure for any of the Mantra Japas as described above, is it okay to simply recite Devi's Mantra by itself with full faith and sincerity? Or is that considered disrespectful to the Deity? Thank you again for the wealth of information offered here which is so hard to find anywhere. Anita
