Another version also exists. Either of them can be recited.

It is suggested to perform the hṛdayādi nyāsa with dikvimocanam, dhyānam, pañcopacāra pūja and samarpanam, even if it not specified after the stotram. It is implicit.

Vadanaswara Maangalya Gruha Thorana Chillika - I thought this was talking about her Mangalsutra which is in the form of "thorana" that we keep in front of the house. Kindly clarify.

Mukhachandra Kalankaaba Mriganaabhi Visheshaka: I thought this was explaining about the tejas from her face that is like moon and also explaining about her nose. This article mentions about her tilaka. Kindly help me understand how it relates to Tilaka.

You can go through some of the articles related to mantras, spiritual journey, advaita etc and it will surely help you gain a good perspective of what needs to be done to achieve your objectives. There is a huge difference in reading stotras and understanding the meaning behind them. I would suggest focusing on the meaning to progress faster. At some point of time, this may lead you towards pūja rituals, mantra japa and/or meditation with proper assistance from a well-versed guru, to catalyze your spiritual growth.

I would suggest combining the kavaca with Śrī Bagalāmukhī Devi mantras, Āvaraṇa pūja, Sahasranāma and other Stotras/Stavas too on a daily basis. This will definitely enhance your sādhana and may help break the karmic barriers faster. Ultimately it is a matter of time with some patience and perseverance from our end. It took more than a decade and a half for me to notice any differences and I was not aware of all these processes, back when I started my spiritual practice. You can consider yourself very fortunate that there are numerous books, websites and even gurus to help you guide through the maze of tantra.
