As said earlier, in laghu navāvaraṇa pūjā, detailed pātra sādana is not there. If pātra sādana is not learnt, navāvaraṇa pūjā can never be learnt. Regular navāvaraṇa pūjā, could take anywhere between 4 to 8 hours. While performing regular/detailed navāvaraṇa pūjā, we cannot be in the learning stage. In order to mitigate these difficulties, laghaya navāvaraṇa pūjā is introduced. Laghaya navāvaraṇa pūjā can be further simplified, so that we can do it in about 30 to 45 minutes and this can be done daily. Thank you very much for sharing your experience.

Dear Raviji,Yesterday i had the bhakyam of doing the laghaya navavarana pooja as it was sharad pournima.i have followed the short version of navavarana pooja given by you with little additions. In the place of the avahana, padya, argya aachamana upacharams, I have included shodasobacharam with srisuktham like aavahanam, aasanam, padyam, argyam, aachanmanam, snanam, vastram, abaranam, gandham and pushpam. Dupa, deepa, madhuparka, neivedhyam, thamboolam, karpoora neeranjanam were done at the end of navavarana pooja as mentioned.A simple abesheka was performed to my srichakra with milk, turmeric and sandal. I have also included yatha shakthi mula mantra jaba towards the end of the pooja. With all these additions it took me 1 and 1/2 hours. till patra sadhanam it took 20 to 25 mins. upacharams, navavaranam and other conclusion poojas took 1 hour. If some one wants to do navavaranam has to by-heart Kadgamala. it will make the pooja still more easier and can save more time. I am a beginner, i have not yet by-hearted the kadgamala.

No, first is Self-realization and finally liberation. What we are now aiming is to realize the Self within.

Ok Sir.So the soul should be liberated first which will lead to self-realization.Thanks a lot for explanation.

There is no connection between yajñopavīta and spiritual advancement. There are views that one should discard yajñopavīta after initiation into Ṣoḍaśī mantra. Such decisions are made either by one's Guru or one's own mind.

Dear Sir, What should be the state of yajnopavita when one is initiated into advanced mantras? Should one continue to wear the same or discard it?

You can any number of questions, but it is difficult to answer sensitive questions. You can always write to me through email. 1. Technically there is no difference between the two. Self-realization is about realization of the Self within. Once you realize the Self within, you will automatically look at the material world through the eyes of the Self. In that stage, all dyads and triads are totally annihilated. 2. Sālokya stage is like elementary school and kaivalya is masters. When we are doing masters, obviously we cannot go back to elementary school to pursue our studies. The journey from sālokya to kaivalya will have many many hurdles, and the powerful hurdle is our inability to move away from dualism to non-dualism. Through dualism, one can become a great devotee; but he cannot attain liberation. Liberation can happen only through non-dualistic mind. We have to also remember that without studying in elementary school, we cannot do masters. Dualism acts as foundation for our spiritual path, but this does not give liberation.
