The mantra should be read exactly as it is written and initiated to you. This is not a mantra that should be taken lightly and must only be recited under the supervision of a qualified guru who can explain the significance and guide you through the process. The reversal of the seed syllables mentioned occurs at the end of the mantra and it is also incorporated within the mantra. The first six syllables are reversed at the end and are part of the mantra itself, as you can find by examining the mantra's first six letters and the last six, which are a reversal of the first six.

You do not need an initiation to chant the Aṣṭottaraśatanāmāvalī.

Namaste, thank you so much for the wonderful knowledge that you have shared with us. I have a question regarding the mantra. It says finally, the bijas 1 to 6 are reversed, so when we read them, do we read swaha aim hrim srim aim klim sauh. I would really appreciate if you could let me know. Thank you in advance.

I suggest you read more about Vyāhṛtis and decide for yourself whether it should be svaḥ or suvaḥ. Please note that during the sandhi formation, you may see the later when it is combined with more words. Regarding the Gāyatrī mantra, it is also recited without the Viniyoga. Please follow what has been initiated to you during the thread ceremony and you may follow the tantric mantra only if a guru initiates you into it, otherwise follow the Vedic/Purāṇic method without the Viniyoga, nyāsas etc.

Dear Krishna Ji, Thank you for your response. On the day of my Yagyopavit ceremony, the Purohita mentioned that he was giving me the Gayatri Mantra to chant. However, he did not explain anything about Viniyog, Nyas, or even the correct pronunciation. Should this be considered as Deeksha? I am not in touch with him now. I personally believe that “Suvah” is the correct pronunciation, as “Svah” is typically used when offering Ahuti during Yagyas. When I chant the Gayatri Mantra, I usually follow the process outlined in this article and recite the Shap Vimochan Mantra beforehand. Could you kindly initiate me into the Gayatri Mantra so that I can practice it with complete clarity and confidence? Thank you.

Mahāṣoḍhā nyāsa is associated with Mahāṣoḍaśī. One who is initiated into Her mantra can practice this nyāsa. Indirectly, the inference is that the Rājya Siddhilakṣmī Parāṣoḍaśī mantra can be recited by those advanced Śrīvidyā upāsakas who are also initiated into the Mahāṣoḍaśī mantra and practicing it.
