Is the dasha mahavidya Matangi a fully distinctive goddess from Mantrini/ Raja Shymala, or is she something like an involution or incarnation for this universe of Lalitā’s chief minister? Is this mahavidya in tantra specifically the one adored as Ucchistha Matangi?

I am a beginner. I just got initiated 15 days back. I am chanting bala navaksari Mantra. Not been able to sit and meditate continuously for an hour. So, I sit for mediation 30 minutes in the morning and night after work. Even during these 30 minutes my mind will be revolving around my work, kids , personal life and many other things - But recent past this as reduced. Anyone in the name direction can you guide me on how you people are able to concentrate. I was asto to read about meditation for continuous 8 years - that is just awesome. Also, I want to know how do we bring mediaition towards ajna chakra.

Most sādhanas take an excruciating amount of time to yield. This is also one of the reasons to practice under the guidance of an able guru and it is also very important to start with simple sādhanas. If the simple ones don't yield, the more powerful and complex ones granting our wishes is farfetched. Practice graha sādhanas, especially the Purāṇic mantras and stay there till you experience tangible benefits. Keep in mind that fighting karma is not easy and takes a lot of patience and practice. Have faith and practice under a guru whom you can meet in person and learn from. There is no substitute to learning in person with the guidance from a living guru.

Variations may exist in different texts. I would suggest looking up Nityotsava, Nityaṣoḍaśikārṇava, Śrīvidyārṇavatantram etc. There are many books published on Śrīvidyā that you may refer to.

They should be practiced by initiates. You can safely practice Purāṇic mantras of any deity. They are meant for general welfare and for all.

It includes the five states of Creation, Sustenance, Destruction, Concealment and Revelation. It also has the Daśamahāvidyās etc. You may refer to the books published by Shri Prahalad Giri to learn more. In my opinion, this is the most profound explanation and practice of the Śrī Cakra followed in the Dakṣiṇāmūrti tradition and it is an expansion of the Daśāvaraṇa Śrīcakra followed in the same lineage. The specific texts that you may refer to are Śrīcakra Nirūpaṇam and Yatidaḍaiśvarya vidhānam. It is best to start with an initiation into Śrīvidyā and Kālīkrama before venturing into the Ṣoḍaśāvaraṇa worship.

We have not published the Tripura Rahasya translation on our site yet. There are some very good books that you may purchase and study. It is definitely a recommended study for all Śrī Vidyā upāsakas. Shri Ravi ji spent two decades writing thousands of articles plus the books and also assisting interested students in their spiritual pursuits. He did all of this without expecting any material gains, without any discrimination or favor and out of pure love for humankind. He was one in a million. We certainly are very proud to be in the Ānandanandanātha lineage.

sadly, I am filled with thoughts of hopelessness and sadness. no matter how much sadhana we do, we are always back to square one - it turns out the effect of the external world and the influence it has on us is too great. i wish someone could understand this feeling, which is too hard to even express in even words. i hope, we will have a kinder world free of discrimination, and self-inflicted shortcomings soon.

I will always regret, deep in my heart, not being fortunate enough to hold your lotus feet to my chest, Gurudev. You are an ocean of humility and compassion to all of us—surely you are our divine mother itself. Now my heart will ache until my last day, for all I ever wished in this life was to have your guidance. My tears fall as I realize that you left us physically just when I was reading your books and articles, ready to connect with you.
