Dear sir Namaste,During our visit to Sirkazhi temple in TN, we found that there is a Bhairava who does not fall in any description i had known earlier called the Settainar Bhairavar. He wears Vishnu's skin as his clothes that gives him the name "Chettainar or Settainar" His bones as malas and his ayudham is gadha made of spine & Skull of Lord Vishnu. We did try to get more information but due to our handicap with tamil, we were not able to get more knowledge about himcan you please enlighten us about himregardsJagadish

These faiths vary from person to person. The ultimate reality is declared through Upaniṣad-s. One may ask whether Scriptures are true or not. Scriptures are meant to strengthen our faith in Gods and also lay foundation for ethical standards of living. Lord Rama lived as a normal human being and hence He worshiped Surya. Krishna though incarnated as a human being, He portrayed Himself as God and as Godly figure He revealed Absolute Truth through Bhagavad Gita. Scriptures are for beginners and Upaniṣad-s and/or Bhagavad Gita are for those who seek to know formless Brahman.

GurujiSince all the deities are different forms of same Brahman, why does ancient Rishis laid out procedures to workship each deity for various dosha.Such as surya for disease, mahalakshmi for shukra dosha, skanda for mars dosha.People in kali yuga suffer from lot of problems and some times just worshipping one deity may not solve their problems in material world. Even Lord Rama worshipped Surya before lanka war, then Lord Siva to remove sin of killing Ravana.Kindly let us know your advice.
