Initiation is only a start. Regular practice and proper understanding of the mantra and its meaning is essential. One must also make earnest efforts to acquire spiritual knowledge from the scriptures along with mantra japa practice. Śuddha Pañcadaśi is generally conferred to get one started with the Śrī cakra pūja. Saubhāgya Pañcadaśi is for acquiring both material and spiritual wealth. It opens up various vistas of opportunity that are generally not possible with other deity mantras. It is generally better to get these mantras after sufficient Bālā mantra japa and not directly!

It may still impact one's life even without a guru. It may take a much longer time. One can always acquire any knowledge without a teacher to some degree. There comes a point, when guidance might become essential, to proceed further.

Respected Sir, Does initiation into Panchadasi mantra but a true guru also means that liberation is assured in one or two births or does this hold good only for Saubhagya Panchadasi mantra (second version)? Thank you!

So, anyone can use "aim klim sauh" without initiation. But to attain its FULL effect, one needs a guru? Is this true? Even without a guru, can the mantra STILL impact one's life and help you connect with Devi? Thank you

Namaskar Raviji, My dad passed on on the 29th aug 2020. It was ekadashi that day. All relatives say that it is one of the most auspicious days to cross over. Is this true? Can you please shed more light on this. Thank you.

A guru is considered essential in mantra sādhana. A mantra is considered live and most effective when it is taken from a practicing guru. Only in the event that you cannot find a suitable guru even after sincere efforts, you may then follow the self-initiation method and also consider following the mantra saṃskārās described in the "Fructification of mantras" articles. The saṃskārās can be followed for mantras received through a guru as well, if they're not yielding any results despite the completion of the puraścaraṇa process.

So gayatri can be chanted now without initiation? The most popular version...or any variation of gayatri? Thank you.

Thank you for sharing the Beejakshara version of Saptashati. Can anyone recite this or require initiation from a qualified guru. I am based in US and wonder if anyone can refer me to a qualified guru to take up this recitation. Thanks In advance.

Srī Bālā mantra is extremely powerful and is regarded as one of the highest that we can ever get. I personally would suggest getting it from a well versed guru and also to start with Srī Mahāgaṇapati before going to Srī Bālā. Please note that these two mantras along with Srī Gāyatrī can change one's fate and karma to a very large extent, if there is sincere devotion and effort from the sādhaka. It is best to start with Srī Gāyatrī japa, if the karmas are really bad and nothing much is happening despite one's best efforts. One important point to note with Srī Vidyā, is that it is a permanent and lifelong journey. It is not something that we recite for a month or so and move along with our lives. If the intention is for short duration mantras, then better to stick to graha mantras and other lower deity mantras.
