The Iconography of Devi Parvathi is more region Specific in Tamil Nadu. In the regions around Tiruchirappalli Devi will hold 2 Lotus on the upper hands and Abhaya Varadha, Near Kumbakonam and other surrounded areas Devi would hold Akshamala and Lotus on upper hands, in Thondaimandalam (Kanchi and Surrounded Areas) Devi will hold Pasam and Ankusam , in Madhurai and till down south Devi will be with 2 hands with a Flower. Exceptions would be there in all areas but will be minimal. The reason for Identical Iconography is more desacharam or Practice in that particular area.

All tantric mantras and stotras require an initiation to practice. For reading purposes, you do not need an initiation.

The japa suggested for the individual bījas is equivalent to performing the the powerful three lettered Bālā mantra japa and it seems to be a subtle hint that one must follow the Śrīvidyā krama in order to please the Divine Mother Abirāmi, who is none other than Śrī Lalita Tripurasundari.

You can try the Aksharamukha online tool to convert from Sanskrit Devanāgari to Tamil. It should be fully understood that any mantra or stotram taken from any type of publication, can only be used as a reference and is in no way a substitute for a guru. Please find a suitable guru who can guide you with the mantra japa and the associated Yantra Āvaraṇa pūja.

If there is an uddhāra śloka specifying such a formation of the mantra, then it can be used as a valid reference. A book can have a printing mistake and should not be taken as a valid reference. For that matter, it also applies to all the content on this website, although we take the proper measures to recheck before posting and also keep correcting any erroneous postings whenever we realize it or if someone brings it to our attention. The last and most important source for practicing any type of mantras or stotras, is the initiating guru. Whatever has been initiated by a practicing guru, can be followed. One must make sure that the guru has the valid credentials etc. and is fully trustworthy. The same also applies to the disciple seeking an initiation.
