She is bedecked with innumerable ornaments all over Her body appearing like a necklace of infinite precious stones as well as a waist band of exquisite gold and precious stones, adding to Her dazzling appearance. She Herself appears like a blooming lotus and holds two lotuses in two upper arms signifying the rising of consciousness. She holds a pot made of gold containing seeds of Creation and all wealth that She bestows. She is served by two elephants showering the divine nectar upon Her, signifying the balance of the iḍa, suṣumṇa, piṅgala nāḍi-s and the release of the cerebral fluid from the top of the skull to the bottom cakras. She also protects the eight Vasu-s representing all the natural elements such as earth, air, ether, water and fire, as well as inner manifestations of mind, intellect and ego. She is also armed with a bow to pierce our cakras and speed up our spiritual journey. She holds a rope, a book and a mirror. The rope signifies Her pulling us in when we are lost in material pursuits, the book signifies knowledge and the mirror signifies Her presence in all beings and matter as the inner consciousness.

Krishnaji / Raviji, Do you have prayoga vidhi with nyasas for "Samputita Srisuktam" in which Samputikarana of Srisukta ruks are done with Saptavimsatyaksara Mahalakshmi/Kamala mantra & Durga mantra? Following is the version popularized by Karunamayi Vijayeswari http://slokas4all.blogspot.com/2015/02/samputita-sri-suktam.html thanks

I have seen some of the prayoga vidhi-s in the Mantra sādhana books by Mohan Publications in Telugu. From what I can remember, reciting the śrī sūktam with the sampuṭīkaraṇa with the devi mantras itself is sufficient. All desires, especially relating to money matters, will fructify very soon.

Thanks Krishnaji. Are you suggesting that there is no need of vidhi/nyasa for samputita srisuktam? I have been trying to catch hold of correct vidhi. I saw sometime back a very old book published out of now defunct publisher of Warangal with samputikarana with Panchadasi(book was torn couldnt make a lot out of it). I came across one version on web which Sri Amritananda of Devipuram provided in which samputikarana is done with Panchadasi mantra. I saw Samputikarana with Bhuvanesari mantra. Also a version with Kamala durga & saraswati mantras. Most say its from Tantra shastras without naming which one :) If you recall which book has the vidhi please let us know. Thanks.

You can follow the Śrī Mahālakṣmī mantra nyāsa, that is specific to the mantra that you would like to use for Sampuṭīkaraṇa. The stotram with the sampuṭīkaraṇa is there in the Śrī Mahālakṣmī sādhana book published by Mohan Publications. You may ask them for more information. I don't think there is any particular vidhi/procedure that's highlighted in the book. It is not part of any tantra śāstra-s that I'm aware of.

Yes it is. The word "Saptaviṃśatyakṣara" means 27. We have corrected the number and it is now showing as 27 instead of 17. Thank you very much for pointing out the error.

You have given this mantra - Om̐ śrīm̐ hrīm̐ śrīm̐ kamale kamalālaye prasīda prasīda śrīm̐ hrīm̐ śrīm̐ mahālakṣmyai namaḥ| Is it possible to replace the second ,,śrīm̐,, with ,,klīm̐,,? Here is the mantra - Om̐ śrīm̐ hrīm ̐klīm̐ kamale kamalālaye prasīda prasīda śrīm̐ hrīm̐ śrīm̐ mahālakṣmyai namaḥ | Is it possible to make ,,kamalālayai,, instead of ,,kamalālaye,, ? And add before ,, mahālakṣmyai ,, ,, Om̐ ,, to get out the mantra - Om̐ śrīm̐ hrīm ̐klīm̐ kamale kamalālayai prasīda prasīda śrīm̐ hrīm̐ śrīm̐ Om̐ mahālakṣmyai namaḥ |.Do you also need to replace the second ,, śrīm̐ ,, with - ,, klīm̐ ,, so that the bijas cover the mantra front and back. The mantra will look like - Om̐ śrīm̐ hrīm ̐klīm̐ kamale kamalālayai prasīda prasīda klīm̐ hrīm̐ śrīm̐ Om̐ mahālakṣmyai namaḥ | Which version of the mantra will work best? Which version of the mantra will work better, adding 'klīm̐' to the mantra also gives energy to the Goddess Durga, I think it is just as well, since by reciting the mantra, we will receive blessings not only for Lakshmi but also for Durga.

There is one more version of this mantra which has an additional om before mahalaxmi. Is this the same as the one mentioned above? om̐ śrīm̐ hrīm̐ śrīm̐ kamale kamalālaye prasīda prasīda śrīm̐ hrīm̐ śrīm̐ om mahālakṣmyai namaḥ ।

If there is an uddhāra śloka specifying such a formation of the mantra, then it can be used as a valid reference. A book can have a printing mistake and should not be taken as a valid reference. For that matter, it also applies to all the content on this website, although we take the proper measures to recheck before posting and also keep correcting any erroneous postings whenever we realize it or if someone brings it to our attention. The last and most important source for practicing any type of mantras or stotras, is the initiating guru. Whatever has been initiated by a practicing guru, can be followed. One must make sure that the guru has the valid credentials etc. and is fully trustworthy. The same also applies to the disciple seeking an initiation.

Hi, there is still a typo in section 9, meaning:..."This seventeen lettered mantra is a prayer to the Lotus dwelling Goddess Śrī Mahālakṣmī". Is it supposed to be twenty seven?
