Ekādaśi is considered an auspicious day for offering prayers and performing rituals to the deities. We cannot time our death in normal circumstances and hence there is no good or bad time for passing away. It is karmic. Certain beliefs do exist on the timings of passing away of great souls. There are no particular scriptural references that I am aware of to this effect. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. We pray for the ascension of his ātma.

Sir, my little research on this has shown me 'mahya' as 'highly honored' and 'mahyam' as 'to/for me'. So, I believe there's a difference between 'mahya' and 'mahyam'. Thank you. I will check more on this.

What is specified in the mantra explanation is correct as per Sanskrit dictionaries. You may check the same. What you are referring to is 'mama' and that differs from 'mahyaṃ'.

Sir, ‘Mahyaṃ’ means “to me”, right? Here it is given as "highly honored". I might be wrong, please clarify. Thank you! :)

Dear Sir.. Pranam.. As per this shlok: इदं तु कवचं नाम देवानामपि दुर्लभम् । पठत् प्रातः समुत्थाय शुचिः प्रयत मानसः ॥ Do we need/can we chant it right after waking up on bed itself? Kindly guide. Pranam
