It can be lifelong. No other mantra is necessary, unless you feel a strong inclination towards other deity mantras.

Unless specifically directed by your guru, you should not be reciting this mantra. Recite the mantras that have been initiated to you and try to be very focused during mantra japa. This will help you progress further.

Only the mantra. This is the Samaya method that skips the Viniyoga, nyāsa etc and is meant to be purely meditative. Those who are seeking material benefits etc, must follow the prescribed japa method. At some point of time, it is best to internalize the mantra and ascend the material wants and needs to progress further on the spiritual side.

Hi sir, in this procedure when we move into step V and start reciting one's mantra, do we still need to go through the viniyoga, nyasams as we usually do? Thank you.

Hi sir, can the Mahaganapati moola mantra be one's lifelong mantra or one needs to move towards a shakti/devi mantra eventually? Thank you.

Namaste Krishna ji Can you please provide the Dhumavati Khadagmala and it's translation as you said. I can't find the same in this site. I have been a devotee...well can't call myself a devotee in real sense as once a devotee you want nothing....but nonetheless I have been trying to fathom into the smoke screen & get grace of Ma Dhumavati knowledge. She's like the advait knowledge of Kashmir shaivism indicating the real knowledge of hridaya bija. Thank you and Ravi ji for providing authentic knowledge to people like us.

Sir this mantra specially for shapa vimochana. I have been initiated to Pratyangira moola mantra and I'm reciting it regularly. Can I recite this mantra without initiation
