Since you have said that you got initiated by a renowned saint of India, it is not appropriate on my part to guide you on this. However, with due respects and regards to your GURU, in my opinion you should be focusing on your ajna chakra and beyond. This is explained in this articleShiva in conversation with ShaktiHowever, what your GURU taught you alone holds good and not mine.

Hello sir, i got initiated into srividya by a renowned saint of india. That mantra should be recited by focussing on root chakra only or move up one by one till ajna. Thanks

Simple mantra need not be split. Let us take "om namaḥśivāya ||". Important point here is the duration of inhalation - holding - exhalation - holding, before inhalation again. Length of recitation should vary accordingly. For example, inhalation - holding - exhalation -holding can be in this proportion. This is only an example and this can be adjusted to one's capacity. 4 + 6 + 6 + 2 = 18 counts. om namaḥśivāya should be recited to fit into 4 + 6 + 6 + 2. Fit here means adjusting the duration of recitation.

This book is mainly in Sanskrit with plenty of interpretations in Sanskrit only. English commentary is limited to very few pages.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Mantra Maharnava, Devi Rahasya Tantram, Shri Vidyarnava Tantram etc cannot be translated into English for their size and advanced Sanskrit usage. This can be done by a group of Sanskrit scholars. One should be truly blessed by Her to get them translated into English.

Dear Ravi, I have the book published by you expounding the 1000 names of Shri Lalitha Devi. It is an excellent effort by an enlightened person such as yourself. I do request you to please publish more such books, revealing the knowledge of the Tantras for the benefit of all. Books such as Mantra Maharnava, Devi Rahasya Tantram, Shri Vidyarnava Tantram etc. are not available in the English Language, which has now become the de facto language of the educated classes. Since most of us did not learn Sanskrit or have the ability to translate or properly understand the inner meaning of the mantras, tantras and the associated rituals, it would really help us if gifted people like yourself, with proper understanding of the texts publish such books. Please continue the good work and thank you very much for revealing the divine knowledge to us.

Thank you very much for the speedy response and your generosity in revealing the knowledge gained. Your explanations on the slokas themselves are very enlightening. As recommended, I shall definitely look forward to reading the commentary of Shri Kuppusamy as well. I personally prefer chanting the entire 100 verses vs chanting one a 1000 times in a day, which probably is not possible, at least by me!

Dear Ravi, Is splitting a mantra absolutely necessary for the breath meditation? For instance, a simple mantra like 'om namah shivaya' can be recited mentally in one inhalation and also in one exhalation. It also allows for the mantra to be recited during both inhalation and exhalation. Thank you very much for revealing the breath mediation techniques for the benefit of all. You blogs with explanation and revelation of various Vedic and Tantric matters is very enlightening, refreshing and educative. Please continue the good work!
