The mantra derivation from the relevant tantras, should be the source to determine if there is an om̐ to be added or not. However, it is most important to not follow mantras from a book or any other type of publication, but to actually receive it from a practicing guru. The role of a guru and the guidance received is sacrosanct and must be followed strictly. In our guru lineage, the mantras that were initiated had om̐ prefixed and the same has been provided here for the benefit of those who wish to follow this tradition. Yes, the mantras when sourced to the relevant tantras may not have an om̐ prefixed or replaced. But also there are many secrets that are not openly revealed. We are very thankful that a path to the highest mantra was revealed and initiated to all the sincere devotees without any barriers related to their origin of birth etc. In addition to the monumental efforts of Shri Ravi guruji and the selfless service he has rendered for the benefit of all seekers, We are also making a small effort to catalog and publish some other mantras that have been derived from tantras AS IS, without any modifications. This is by no means an invitation to practice as one pleases, but is simply a reference to understand the inner meaning of the underlying concepts that may aid practitioners succeed in their spiritual path. We sincerely advice seekers to find a good guru and follow their advice.

So how does one determine where om is added and where om is not added? Another place on this website, it was said that om should be added everywhere quoting an upanishad. Adding or not adding om should be based on tantra and not convenient interpretation no? Why then add om to shodashi, navakshar, bala etc.

No it is not prefixed and this is a mantra that should be followed strictly, as per the advice of the initiating guru.

Thank you for pointing out the error. It is षडङ्ग-देवदायुक्ता ṣaḍaṅga-devadāyuktā, which is now corrected.

Guruji, refer nama 393. Ashtama siddhis are detailed. Garima is mentioned in dhyana slokam as one of them, whereas, she's not mentioned in nama 393. Please clarify
