How to draw mandalas here? "Kalpa Sutra" follows like this."Samanyorghodakena bindu, trikona.....matya mudraya vilikhya"Meaning:Use samanyargham to draw lines of mandala. These lines are to be drawn with samanyargham with matya mudra. This sutra is for all mandalas. This is one of the use of samanyargham. After drawing mandalas like this, one can apply sandal, kumkum etc.. There are different traditions on placement of patras. I am not disclosing all of them here.

Tattva mudra means only using left hand. While filling viśeṣa arghya only alphabets with bindu should be recited. This point I have now corrected in the article. aṁ namaḥ hamsaḥ, etc should be used only in nyāsa-s and not here.

1) After mandala worship, clean visesharghya adhara with the samanyargha by reciting following mantra.4 aiṁ hraḥ astrāya phaṭ | 2) Before consecrating visesharghya patra, clean patra with the samanyargha by reciting following mantra.4 aiṁ hraḥ astrāya phaṭ | 3) 20.4) Suddhi saṁskāraḥThis is also known as kaarana kalasam. On the mandala drawn as prescribed, keep this kaarana kalasam on the mandala.Which vessel is to be used here? A three eyed coconut shell is to be used here. This shell is a symbol of trinetra i.e. lord shiva. This is the reason why we worship this kalasa with panchanga nyasa of mahanyasa. In some traditions instead of tree eyed coconut shell, human skull will be used. 4) 20.5) while filling amrita in visesharghya patra, matrikas to be recite with bindu and hamsah at end. For example, am namh hamsah, aam namah hamsah ....... 5) It is better to hold ginger with right hand tatwa mudra instead of left hand tattwa mudra. First method is better of dakshinacharas and second method is better for vamacharis. 6) 4 sauḥ soma maṇḍalāya kāmapradha ṣoḍaśa kalātmane śrī mahātripursundaryāḥ viśeṣa argya amṛtāya namaḥ |After sauh sa ka la hreem is missed in English version. However, in Sanskrit version it is available.Sodasi upasakas have to do entire puja with shat kuta sodasi mantra

Yes, Sir. What you said is correct. It is very difficult to get correct right handed conch. As we say in mantra "yadha shakti, yadha sambhavadravyai", available right handed conch may be used. This will give some picture in mind about right handed conch (bhava). Better to select the best among the availabale. This is my personal opinion only.

oh common... chant ong.... meditate, visualize and the way ll be shown. lets look the brighter side and the article is right as far as Patanjali is concerned but if we are aspiring for Siddhis, we have to make our own way. Patanjali's way is for guidance..

Yes. in saparya padddhati by sri n subramania iyear ravi ji's order is followed.I have something to say about right handed conch. in fact this is not available commonly. which one available is not conch. this is other type of molluscs. conch will have two or three groove like folds inside end called as nabhi which is not present in so called right handed conch. original right conch may range more than 30thousands . any problem if normal conch used? or available false right conch can be used?

1) Why we use conch for samanyargha? Here mandala is surya mandala. Surya is adhipati to jala (water). Tattwa of Sankh (conch) jala. Hence we use conch. It is better to use right conch (means dakshinavrutta shankha i.e. a shakha having right aavruttam)2) am - agni mandalam - dharma prada um - surya mandalam - ardha prada mm - soma mandalam - kaama prada

Vardhani Kalasam:In some texts it was suggested to place vardhani kalasa on mandala drawn with trikona, vritta and chaturasa only. Vardhani patra, samanyargha patra and visesharghya patra subtly represent sasta chakras in human body and agni, surya and soma mandalas. What is the meaning of these symbols? The concept of drawing mandala is follows like this:Square represents - futureCircle represents - pastShatkona represents - presentTrikona represents - Icha, jnana and kriya saktiBindu represents - Santa/Santyateeta kalaHow these mandalas are to be drawn? It was also suggested to draw all the mandalas with matya mudra. Why mula mantra should be recited eight times? You may observe while proceeding further to next mandalas mula mantra will have to be recited seven times only. What is the difference? Here, asta lakshmi kalasam is good to use as vardhani kalasam. Lakshmi also means all saktis/wealth etc. (asta aiswryas) and it represent of this universe i.e. vishnu, siva, brahma, oceans etc. Since it represent asta aiswaryas symbolically we worship this kalasa by reciting mula mantra eight times. Why to use dhenu mudra? This mudra is for making the water in kalasa as amruta. (dhenu mudraya amrutee krutva)Samanyargha:Here, right conch is better to use for dakshinacharas.19.5.a) Worshiping outer squareIn fact, the sutra for worshipping the square is like this.“Chaturasre, vayu, eesana, agni, nirurity konesu, madhye dikshusa bala shadangai sampujya”Meaning: In square, worship vaayu kona, then eeasan kona, then agni kona, then niruruti kona, then , madhye dikshusa (=1. Central part of all four sides of the square or 2. Madhye = bindu, dikshusa = central part of all four sides) with bala shadanga.4 klīṁ netratrayāya vauṣaṭ | netraśakti śrīpādukāṁ pūjayāmi namaḥ || = worship east and west at a time.4 sauḥ astrāya phaṭ | astraśakti śrīpādukāṁ pūjayāmi namaḥ || = worship south and north at a time.Alternatively,4 klīṁ netratrayāya vauṣaṭ | netraśakti śrīpādukāṁ pūjayāmi namaḥ || = worship bindu.4 sauḥ astrāya phaṭ | astraśakti śrīpādukāṁ pūjayāmi namaḥ || = worship east, west, south and north at a time.(I prefer, first one)4 uṁ sūrya maṇḍalāya arthaprad dvādaśakalātmane śrī mahātripursundaryāḥ pātrāya namaḥ || - Here, the word Samanaghya may be included before paatraya namah: In fact, after worshipping soma mandala on conch, a chaturasra (square) is to be drawn on water in conch ( only bhava) and has to be worshipped that square with bala shadangas as done earlier. This is important and concept behind this is to save the water in conch from external forces. Why we have to recite mula mantra seven times. Subtly it conveys sapta chakras. One has to visualize sapta chakras while reciting mula mantra instead of counting with fingers/numbers etc.(panchadasi and sodasi upasakas can worship this mandala instead of bala mantra)
