Meaning:- We meditate upon the terrifying form of the Divine Mother Vana Durgā Devī, seated on a menacing lion and radiating a dark complexion resembling that of a rain-laden dark cloud. She holds a cakra/discus, and a conch. She also showers Her grace with the vara and allays all fears through the abhaya mudrā-s. She has the lustre of a moon and has three eyes (elevated ājñā cakra). Her terrifying glance is enough to invoke great fear in the minds of enemies. She has a bandana on Her head with a crescent moon shining forth. She is adorned with necklaces, ear rings and bracelets of precious stones. She is resplendent in Her glory that radiates upon all the three realms. The Divine Mother is adored by Indra and other celestial surā-s and is said to be residing in the forests of the Vindhya Mountain range. Lord Śiva remains always close to Her heart and She radiates with true bliss.

I sent you the audio for the 9 lettered mantra. It is simpler and very effective. The deities are different. Vanadurga devi comes under the Durga devi manifestations and Pratyaṅgirā devi is a form of Bhadrakāli. They are both ugra devatas and very effective in eliminating black magic and other negative forces coming at us.

It requires an initiation and a commitment to follow the proper procedures. She is considered as a Mahāvidyā by some Tantras and the suggested methods of worship should be followed.

She is invoked for all material and spiritual desires and is considered as one of the Mahāvidyās per some sources and scriptures. There is an entire pañcaśati with dikbandhana mantras invoking various deities in Her worship procedures.

Namaste. I would suggest starting with graha mantras that maybe most suitable for you to help with the ongoing problems. You can slowly progress towards higher mantras with the help of a guru. Although this mantra can resolve every single problem of yours, it will be very slow acting as the grahas and the karmas afflicting you will restrict growth. You can recite the regular Durga devi mantra to start with and also recite Her stotras and kavacas for protection. Always seek a guru for tantric mantra practice and follow their advice.

Safest option is to chant Gayatri mantra around 1000 times a day, Gayatri has very good effect in smoothening ones life. But consistency is the key

Thank you Guruji for the knowledge shared. Can a person devotionally chant only 'uttiṣṭha puruṣi kiṃ svapiṣi bhayaṃ ca me samupasthitaṃ yadi-śakyam-aśakyaṃ-vā tanme bhagavati śamaya svāhā ।' ?? Or is it compulsory to follow the procedure from the beginning? Please guide.

Your best option is to seek a guru who can guide you through the process and fulfill your spiritual quest. There is also an elaborate dikbandhana for this Mahāvidyā which should also be followed from time to time. Do not forget to include the worship of Her yantra, kavacam etc to ensure that the sādhana is consistent with the recommended practices. Devotion to the deity is a must and since you have it, you should now seek a guru who is able to guide you through this process. It is best to find a guru from whom you can learn in person, as some of these practices may require in person guidance for easier understanding and doubt clarification etc. Note that this is applicable to all higher spiritual practices like the Mahāvidyā sādhanas.
