Śrī Saubhāgya Kavacam ( श्रीसौभाग्यकवचम् ) - Part 3

karabhaṃ dakṣiṇaṃ dhairy-ākarṣiṇī pātu vāmakam ।

smṛty-ākarṣiṇyasau pāṇiṃ nāmākarṣiṇi dakṣiṇam ॥ 23 ॥

करभं दक्षिणं धैर्याकर्षिणी पातु वामकम् ।

स्मृत्याकर्षिण्यसौ पाणिं नामाकर्षिणि दक्षिणम् ॥ २३ ॥

Protects the right metacarpus (the hand from the wrist to the root of the fingers). The left metacarpus is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Dhairyākarṣiṇi, the One who activates courage and fortitude in all sentient beings, as well as the reactions and desires associated with it. The left-hand palm is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Smṛtyākarṣiṇi, The One who activates memory and recollections in all sentient beings, as well as the reactions and desires associated with it. The right-hand palm is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Nāmākarṣiṇi, the One who activates the ability to name, classify and recognize all sentient beings, as well as identify their individual traits, desires and behavior.

bījākarṣiṇyasau pāyāt-satataṃ dakṣiṇāṅgulīḥ ।

ātmākarṣiṇya-dakṣiṇyām-amṛtākarṣiṇī nakhān ॥ 24 ॥

बीजाकर्षिण्यसौ पायात्सततं दक्षिणाङ्गुलीः ।

आत्माकर्षिण्यदक्षिण्याममृताकर्षिणी नखान् ॥ २४ ॥

The Divine Mother Bījākarṣiṇi, the One who activates the ability to seed and reproduce, to propagate themselves, amongst all sentient beings, protects the right-hand knuckles. The Divine Mother Ātmākarṣiṇi, the One who manifests consciousness in a dormant state in all inanimate objects and activates within all sentient beings, protects the right-hand fingers. The Divine Mother Amṛtākarṣiṇi, the One who manifests glands that emit nectar within all sentient beings, protects the right-hand finger nails.

śarīrākarṣiṇī vāmanakhān rakṣatu sarvadā ।

anaṅga-kusumā śaktiḥ pātu dakṣa-stanopari ॥ 25 ॥

शरीराकर्षिणी वामनखान् रक्षतु सर्वदा ।

अनङ्गकुसुमा शक्तिः पातु दक्षस्तनोपरि ॥ २५ ॥

The Divine Mother Śarīrākarṣiṇi, the One who manifests physical, astral and causal bodies, for all sentient beings, protects the entire left palm up to the finger nails. The Divine Mother Anaṅga-kusumā śakti, the One who is in the form of an incorporeal essence, that is invoked by passion and provoked by the fires of desire, protects the upper part of the right bosom.

anaṅga-mekhalā cānya-stanordhvam-abhi-rakṣatu ।

anaṅga-madanā dakṣa-stanaṃ tac-cūcukaṃ punaḥ ॥ 26 ॥

अनङ्गमेखला चान्यस्तनोर्ध्वमभिरक्षतु ।

अनङ्गमदना दक्षस्तनं तच्चूचुकं पुनः ॥ २६ ॥

The Divine Mother Anaṅga-mekhalā śakti, the One who manifests an incorporeal girdle of desire to agitate the sentient beings, protects the upper part of the left bosom. The Divine Mother Anaṅga-madanā śakti, the One who manifests an incorporeal embrace of passion in sentient beings, protects the right nipple.

rakṣatād-aniśaṃ devī anaṅga-madanāturā ।

stanayor-madhyamaṃ pāyād-anaṅga-madanāturā

anaṅga-rekhā vāmañca vakṣojaṃ tasya cūcukam ॥ 27 ॥

रक्षतादनिशं देवी अनङ्गमदनातुरा ।

स्तनयोर्मध्यमं पायादनङ्गमदनातुरा

अनङ्गरेखा वामञ्च वक्षोजं तस्य चूचुकम् ॥ २७ ॥

The middle part of the bosoms is protected incessantly by the grace of the Divine Mother Anaṅga-madanāturā, the One who manifests infinite, boundless love and affection and invokes the same within the higher sentient beings. The left breast is protected incessantly by the Divine Mother Anaṅga-rekhā, the One who manifests infinite contours in the lives of the sentient beings and leads them through various paths. Her grace is infinite in measure.

anaṅga-veginī kroḍām-anaṅgasy-āṅkuśāvatu ।

anaṅga-mālinī pāyād-vakṣa-sthalam-ahar-niśam ॥ 28 ॥

अनङ्गवेगिनी क्रोडामनङ्गस्याङ्कुशावतु ।

अनङ्गमालिनी पायाद्वक्षस्थलमहर्निशम् ॥ २८ ॥

The left nipple is protected by the Divine Mother Anaṅga-veginī, the One who signifies the limitless and bountiful energy manifested in the entire Creation. She also signifies the amorous drive and energy invoked within the sentient beings. The chest is protected by the Divine Mother Anaṅg-āṅkuśa, the incorporeal One who bestows restraint and control within all sentient beings on aspects related to emotions and desires. The Divine Mother Anaṅga-mālinī, the incorporeal One who signifies the garland of emotions manifested in the entire Creation, protects both the breasts and the entire chest incessantly.

sarva-saṃkṣobhiṇī hṛcca sarva-vidrāviṇī parā ।

kukṣiṃ sarvākarṣiṇī pātu pātu pārśvaṃ tu dakṣiṇam ॥ 29 ॥

सर्वसंक्षोभिणी हृच्च सर्वविद्राविणी परा ।

कुक्षिं सर्वाकर्षिणी पातु पातु पार्श्वं तु दक्षिणम् ॥ २९ ॥

The abdomen is shared and protected equally by the Divine Mother Sarva-saṃkṣobhiṇī śakti and Sarva-vidrāviṇī śaktis, by their grace. The Divine Mother Sarva-saṃkṣobhiṇī śakti, destroys all pride, arrogance and ego. She also signifies the principle of Creation, the manifestation of the māyā śakti – the cosmic virtual reality and the descent of the super-consciousness into energy and matter. The Divine Mother Sarva-vidrāviṇī śakti, chases away all misfortunes, enemies and bad karma. She also represents the act of expansion of the Creation as well as its Sustenance. The sensory pleasures and enjoyment of life, is also indicated.

The right portion of the ribs are protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarvākarṣiṇī śakti, who helps us to attract all the good karma, virtues and good fortune that is needed for material and spiritual growth. She denotes the eternal Truth - Singular Reality Śakti, devolving into duality and manifesting the dyads. She also indicates how our minds are attracted towards the worldly possessions.

āhlādinī vāma-pārśvaṃ madhyaṃ sammohinī parā ।

sā sarva-stambhinī pṛṣṭhaṃ nābhiṃ vai sarva-jṛmbhiṇī ॥ 30 ॥

आह्लादिनी वामपार्श्वं मध्यं सम्मोहिनी परा ।

सा सर्वस्तम्भिनी पृष्ठं नाभिं वै सर्वजृम्भिणी ॥ ३० ॥

The left side of the ribs are protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarvāhlādinī śakti, who denotes pleasure, joy, excitement, thrill and happiness of all measures. The middle portion of the ribs, are protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-sammohinī śakti, who fascinates and bewilders us. The back is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-stambhinī śakti, the One who restrains and paralyzes our enemies. The navel is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-jṛmbhiṇī śakti, the one who bursts open and unfolds, sleeps and awakens.

vaśaṅkarī vasti-deśaṃ kaṭiṃ sā sarva-rañjinī ।

unmādinī tu sarvādyā pāyāj-jaghana-maṇḍalam ॥ 31 ॥

वशङ्करी वस्तिदेशं कटिं सा सर्वरञ्जिनी ।

उन्मादिनी तु सर्वाद्या पायाज्जघनमण्डलम् ॥ ३१ ॥

The pelvis is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva- vaśaṅkarī śakti, the One who helps us to mesmerize and attract. The sensory enjoyment of the worldly possessions and their correlation to pleasure and grief, as well as the growing separation from the True reality and enticement of the virtual reality, is also indicated. Simultaneously, an urge (daharākāśa) for the spiritual ascent is also created within, which in turn instigates the Kuṇḍalini to rise towards its goal of Śiva-Śakti-aikya, meaning self-realization and eventual liberation. The waist is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-rañjinī śakti, the One who delights and satiates. The buttocks and the surrounding region are protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarvonmādinī śakti, the One who injects spiritual intoxication within us. The burning desire (daharākāśa) within our heart and deep in our minds to discover the eternal Truth is ignited by this mudra. Gradual disillusionment and detachment of material desires also sets in, to make space for spiritual pursuits.

sarvārtha-sādhinī-śaktir-nitambaṃ rakṣatād-atha ।

dakṣa-sphicaṃ sadā pātu sarva-sampat-prapūriṇī ॥ 32 ॥

सर्वार्थसाधिनीशक्तिर्नितम्बं रक्षतादथ ।

दक्षस्फिचं सदा पातु सर्वसम्पत्प्रपूरिणी ॥ ३२ ॥

The hip sides are protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarvārtha-sādhinī śakti, the one who accomplishes all tasks. The right hip is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-sampat-prapūriṇī śakti, the One who provides all types of prosperity, riches and abundance.

sarva-mantramayī-śaktiḥ pātu vāma-sphicaṃ mama ।

pāyāt-kakundara-dvandvaṃ sarva-dvandv-akṣayaṅkarī ॥ 33 ॥

सर्वमन्त्रमयीशक्तिः पातु वामस्फिचं मम ।

पायात्ककुन्दरद्वन्द्वं सर्वद्वन्द्वक्षयङ्करी ॥ ३३ ॥

The left hip is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-mantramayī śakti, the One who is the constituent of all mantras and their power. The cavities of the loins are protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-dvandv-akṣayaṅkarī, the One who manifests all dualities to exist in perpetuity.

sarva-siddhi-pradā devī vṛṣaṇaṃ pātu dakṣiṇam ।

sarva-sampat-pradā devī vṛṣaṇaṃ pātu vāmakam ॥ 34 ॥

सर्वसिद्धिप्रदा देवी वृषणं पातु दक्षिणम् ।

सर्वसम्पत्प्रदा देवी वृषणं पातु वामकम् ॥ ३४ ॥

The right portion of the scrotum (in males and ovaries in females) is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-siddhi-pradā devī, the One who bestows success in all endeavors. The left portion of the scrotum (in males and ovaries in females) is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-sampat-pradā, the One who bestows prosperity, auspiciousness, success, wealth, health, happiness and complete abundance.

sarva-priyaṅkarī devī guhyaṃ rakṣatu me sadā ।

meḍhraṃ rakṣatu me devī sarva-maṅgala-kāriṇī ॥ 35 ॥

सर्वप्रियङ्करी देवी गुह्यं रक्षतु मे सदा ।

मेढ्रं रक्षतु मे देवी सर्वमङ्गलकारिणी ॥ ३५ ॥

The genitals are protected at all times, by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-priyaṅkarī devī, the One who entices and pleases everyone and everything, fulfilling all desires. The reproductive organs are protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-maṅgala-kāriṇī devī, the One who bestows success and victory in all endeavors and undertakings.

sarva-kāma-pradā devī pātu muṣkaṃ tu dakṣiṇam ।

tayor-madhyaṃ sadā pātu sarva-kāma-phala-pradā ।

pāyāt-tad-anyaṃ devī tu sarva-duḥkha-vimocinī ॥ 36 ॥

सर्वकामप्रदा देवी पातु मुष्कं तु दक्षिणम् ।

तयोर्मध्यं सदा पातु सर्वकामफलप्रदा ।

पायात्तदन्यं देवी तु सर्वदुःखविमोचिनी ॥ ३६ ॥

The right portion of the scrotum (in males and ovaries in females) is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-kāma-pradā devī, the One who entices and fulfills all desired wishes to the fullest extent possible. The area in the middle of the scrotum (in males and ovaries in females) is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-kāma-phala-pradā devī, the One who fulfills all desires and wishes to complete fruition. The left portion of the scrotum (in males and ovaries in females) is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-duḥkha-vimocinī devī, the One who removes all types of misfortune, illness, misery and bad luck.

sarva-mṛtyu-praśamanī devī pātu gudaṃ mama ।

pātu devī deha-madhyaṃ sarva-vighna-nivāriṇī ॥ 37 ॥

सर्वमृत्युप्रशमनी देवी पातु गुदं मम ।

पातु देवी देहमध्यं सर्वविघ्ननिवारिणी ॥ ३७ ॥

The anus is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-mṛtyu-praśamanī devī, the One who removes and tranquilizes all types of fears associated with death and defeat and ensures complete recovery and success. The middle portion of the body in its entirety, is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-vighna-nivāriṇī devī, the One who removes all types of obstacles impeding our growth and progress.

sarvāṅga-sundarī devī rakṣatād-dakṣa-sakthikam ।

vāma-sakthi-talaṃ pāyat-sarva-saubhāgya-dāyinī ॥ 38 ॥

सर्वाङ्गसुन्दरी देवी रक्षताद्दक्षसक्थिकम् ।

वामसक्थितलं पायत्सर्वसौभाग्यदायिनी ॥ ३८ ॥

The right thigh is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarvāṅga-sundarī devī, the One who bestows beauty and great looks throughout the body. The left thigh is protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-saubhāgya-dāyinī devi, the One who bestows auspiciousness, immense luck, abundance, prosperity, success, status and complete happiness and fulfillment.

aṣṭhīvaṃ mama sarvajñā devī rakṣatu dakṣiṇam ।

anyaṣṭhīvaṃ sarva-śaktir-devī pātu ciraṃ mama ॥ 39 ॥

अष्ठीवं मम सर्वज्ञा देवी रक्षतु दक्षिणम् ।

अन्यष्ठीवं सर्वशक्तिर्देवी पातु चिरं मम ॥ ३९ ॥

The right knee bone is protected at all times by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarvajñā devī, the omniscient One! The left knee bone is always protected by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-śaktir-devī, the all-powerful One!         

sarv-aiśvarya-pradā devī dakṣa-jānuṃ sadāvatu ।

sarva-jñāna-mayī devī tadanyaj-jānu rakṣatu ॥ 40 ॥

सर्वैश्वर्यप्रदा देवी दक्षजानुं सदावतु ।

सर्वज्ञानमयी देवी तदन्यज्जानु रक्षतु ॥ ४० ॥

The right knee is protected at all times by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarv-aiśvarya-pradā devī, the One who bestows all types of wealth and prosperity. The left knee is protected at all times by the grace of the Divine Mother Sarva-jñāna-mayī devī, the One who bestows all types of knowledge.
