Meaning:-
The Kālī bīja (seed mantra) krīm̐, consists of ‘ka’ which is Lord Mahākāla’s (an aspect of Lord Śiva) Kamalā śakti, representing the evolution of consciousness. The letter ‘ra’ is Ananta Tejomaya Brahma, the omniscient and ever shining Brahman Himself, representing all aspects of Creation, Sustenance and Destruction, Who is none other than Mahākāla. The letter ‘ī’ represents Mahāmāyā, the virtual reality. The letter ‘m̐’ is nāda-bindu that dispels sorrow. The Lokanāyika, the ruler of the entire Creation, the Divine Mother who is the śakti of Mahākāla, in Her Vindu (Bindu or Dimensionless dot) rūpa (form) is Mahākālī, the kriyā śakti or the One who takes action and is the dispeller of all sorrow, extinguisher of all karmas, negativity, black magic, enemies etc. and grantor of self-realization and liberation.
There are three krīm̐s, which represent creation, sustenance and dissolution.
The Kūrca bīja (seed) mantra hūm̐ represents cutting off all attachments as well as obstacles in our material and spiritual progress. It consists of the letter ‘ha’ which is the ākāśa tattva representing the vast sky and the infinite space – ether and also Parāśiva representing perfect knowledge, pure bliss and dissolution of all sin. The letter ‘ū’ is Umeśa Mahākāla Bhairava the annihilator and bestower of spiritual transformation. Lastly, the letter ‘m̐’ is nāda-bindu that dispels sorrow. Together, the signification is towards spiritual elevation by burning all the karmas.
Another interpretation for hūm̐ is, ‘ha’ for perfect knowledge, ‘ū’ is guru or vāk (word) and the bindu ‘m̐’ for the meaning of the word. Together, this bīja represents knowledge through the word and its meaning.
The two hūm̐ bīja-s represent the word and its meaning.
The hrīm̐ bīja is made of ‘ha’ signifying Supreme Knowledge, ‘ra’ signifying brilliance and radiation and ‘m̐’ signifying Parabrahma or the Supreme reality.
The two hrīm̐ bīja-s represent Creation and Sustenance.
Dakṣiṇe kālike represents closeness to this aspect of the Divine Mother Kālī
The sampuṭīkaraṇa or enclosing the Divine Mother with the same bījas, removes all impurities and offers immense protection and assurance to the devotee of quick fulfillment.
‘Svāhā’ is oblation to the Divine Mother to eliminate all our sins and usher in auspiciousness and prosperity.
This mantra is a prayer to the Goddess Śrī Dakṣiṇakālī, asking Her to come to our rescue and remove all negative energies and inimical forces acting upon us and also to free us from all bad karma and help with our well-being. She will completely transform us and remove all types or sorrow, be it material or spiritual. One becomes free of diseases, poverty and all types of bad karma. She is fast acting and very forceful! The devotees will never be disappointed by investing their faith in Her.

Sir, nyasas should be recited loudly or mentally?

They can be performed mentally. When there is a specific 'bahir' nyāsa, then it is perceived to be recited externally. Although the word 'bahir' mean external, it does not necessarily mean that we should recite loudly, but can be interpreted as touching the body part externally, which is what we do with nyāsa-s in general. The 'antar' nyāsas are for the cakras and no touching is required, but simple internal visualization will suffice.

Dear Sir I have a question about the kali mantra here Its I spelt as follows 'krīm̐ krīm̐ krīm̐ hūm̐ hūm̐ hrīm̐ hrīm̐ dakṣiṇe kālike krīm̐ krīm̐ krīm̐ hūm̐ hūm̐ hrīm̐ hrīm̐ svāhā ' I have heard that the 'dakshine kalike' in this mantra is sometimes spelt as 'dakshina kalike' … is this a variation or should it be spelt as 'dakshine kalike' only Please reply Thanks Arun

"dakṣiṇa kālike" is technically correct, but the popular version is "dakṣiṇe kālike". It is probably because of some disambiguation that may have occurred. Irrespective of this, the Divine Mother Kāli gives in to our devotion and never fails to address the concerns of Her sincere devotees. However, it is most important that you get the mantra from a qualified practicing guru and follow all the procedures related to Her worship, including the associated nyāsās, to obtain all desires and wishes.

Dear Sir Thank you very much for the Kind reply I have one final question in relation to Dakshina kalika mantra puja vidhi In the website manblunder.com you have mentioned PANCHAPUJA VIDHI as a part of dakshina kali mantra There is a phrase which is as follows ... 'Hold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the little fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs, with the back of the hand facing us.' When you say bottom phalanx.. does it mean the phalanx that is immediately next to the palm? In medical terms there is proximal phalanx (immediately next to palm - beginning of the finger), middle phalanx (mid portion of finger) and distal phalanx (the phalanx with nails on it) Please let me know as I am going to follow this method of doing pancha puja with mudras. Thanks and kind regards Arun Ramabhadra

I meant the proximal phalanx. There are other methods where one starts from the distal phalanx and move towards the proximal phalanx. You may follow either of these.

Hi sir. I have just started chanting this mantra for 15 minutes, aloud. After chanting when I get up, my throat and tongue are becoming numb for sometime. Is this normal during the initial phase? or Should I be taking any extra care? Thank you.

The nyāsas may take up close to an hour to recite. I would not suggest this mantra if you are not going to follow the nyāsas. There maybe other Vedic mantras that are not stringent on the methods and easier on us. You should consider trying those with initiation from a qualified guru.

Good day. Is it possible to use Sri Dakshina Kali Shoda Nyasa for the mantra of Goddess Durga - Om̐ Dum̐ Durgayei namaha? If so, did I change them to this mantra correctly? I would not change the first part. I don't know if parts 2 and 3 are needed because those mantras ( śrīm̐, klīm̐ ) are not in the mantra - Om̐ Dum̐ Durgayei namaha Instead of the Klīm̐ bija in the third part, I would give the Dum̐ bija. I would not change the fourth part. The fifth part, I do not quite understand whether it is possible to change it to a mantra - Om̐ Dum̐ Durgayei namaha? In part number 6, I understand it is possible to replace mūlamantra - “krīm̐ krīm̐ krīm̐ hūm̐ hūm̐ hrīm̐ hrīm̐ dakṣiṇe kālike krīm̐ krīm̐ krīm̐ hūm̐ hūm̐ hrīm̐ hrīm̐ svāhā” with the mantra - Om̐ Dum̐ Durgayei namaha? Are there similar nyasa as you have submitted - Sri Dakshina Kali Shoda Nyasa for Goddess Durga? What gives so many extra Nyasa? Thanks for the answer?

There are other Durga devi related nyāsās that can be used. We will publish them in due course of time. Maybe for Navarātri.

Hi - the Dakshina curse removal mantra seems much easier than what was provided here: https://manblunder.com/articlesview/dakshina-kali-mantra-japa The one you listed simply adds Sauh in middle. It his accurate? Thank you!

There can be more than one curse on these high yielding mantras, to prevent their misuse. This particular one has the full mantra + sauḥ + second half of the mantra. Please examine closely.
