Sarvasaubhāgyapradāyaka śrīkara caturdaśākṣara mahāmantraḥ

Purpose – Immense wealth, prosperity, health, education, recognition and status.
1.Viniyogaḥ (विनियोगः) -
asyaśrīkara mahālakṣmī caturdaśākṣara mahāmantrasya ।
brahmā ṛṣiḥ ।
gāyatrī chandaḥ ।
śrī lakṣminārāyaṇo devatā ।
mama sarvābhīṣṭa siddhyarthe sakala sampadā vyāpyarthe śrī mahālakṣmī prītyarthe śrī-guror-anujñāyā mahāmantra jape viniyogaḥ ॥
अस्यश्रीकर महालक्ष्मी चतुर्दशाक्षर महामन्त्रस्य ।
ब्रह्मा ऋषिः ।
गायत्री छन्दः ।
श्री लक्ष्मिनारायणो देवता ।
मम सर्वाभीष्ट सिद्ध्यर्थे सकल सम्पदा व्याप्यर्थे श्री महालक्ष्मी प्रीत्यर्थे श्रीगुरोरनुज्ञाया महामन्त्र जपे विनियोगः ॥
Meaning - This prayer/mantra japa is to invoke Śrīkara Mahālakṣmī (Śrī Lakṣminārāyaṇa) in our heart, perform mantra japa to obtain His complete grace in all aspects, including the four puruṣārthas – dharma (following own nature), artha (wealth), kāma (desires) and mokṣa (liberation) and all desires that one may seek from the Divine. The sage who visually saw this mantra (ṛṣiḥ) is Brahmā. The meter (chandas) for the mantra is Gāyatrī of twenty-four syllables and its variations. The deity is Śrī Lakṣminārāyaṇa devata. By the grace and command of our guru and the guru lineage, we pledge to undertake the mantra japa in full earnest.

ॐ युँ आनन्द सुन्दर लक्ष्मीपतये नमः - कनिष्ठिकाभ्यां वौषट् । |
Use both the thumbs and run them on both the little fingers. |

om̐ ṇām̐ lakṣmīnārāyaṇāya namaḥ - karatalakara pṛṣṭhābhyāṃ phaṭ । |
ॐ णाँ लक्ष्मीनारायणाय नमः - करतलकर पृष्ठाभ्यां फट् । |
Open both the palms; run the opened palms of the right hand on the front and back sides of the left palm and repeat the same for the other palm. |
7 |
इति कर न्यासः ॥ |
Thus ends the six-part Kara nyāsa. |

Salutations to the One who has a very pleasing and joyful appearance. He is the consort of the Divine Lakṣmī, who provides us with complete happiness and contentment. |

Lakṣmī-nārāyaṇāya namaḥ |
लक्ष्मीनारायणाय नमः |
Salutations to the One who bestows abundance upon the entire Creation and nourishes it. |

ॐ राँ अखिलदुःख शमनाय नमः - कवचाय हुं । |
Cross both the hands and touch both shoulders with the palms. |

om̐ yum̐ ānanda sundara lakṣmīpataye namaḥ - netratrayāya vauṣaṭ । |
ॐ युँ आनन्द सुन्दर लक्ष्मीपतये नमः - नेत्रत्रयाय वौषट् । |
Touch the eyes with the right index and ring fingers, with the middle finger touching the ājña cakra. |

om̐ ṇām̐ lakṣmīnārāyaṇāya namaḥ - astrāya phaṭ । |
ॐ णाँ लक्ष्मीनारायणाय नमः - अस्त्राय फट् । |
Open up the left palm and strike it three times with index and middle fingers of the right hand. |
7 |
iti ṣaḍaṅga nyāsaḥ ॥ |
इति षडङ्ग न्यासः ॥ |
Thus ends the six-part Ṣaḍāṅga nyāsa. |
bhūr-bhuva-ssuvarom-iti digbandhaḥ ॥
भूर्भुवस्सुवरोम् इति दिग्बन्धः ॥
Meaning: May the directions be charmed and bound, to prevent any external obstacles from the powers residing in the triads – the Earth, atmosphere and the heavens.
5. Dhyānam (ध्यानम् ) -
lakṣmīcāru kucadvandva kuṅkumāṅkita vakṣase namo lakṣmīpate tubhyam sarvābhīṣṭa pradāyine ।
hastair-bibhrat-sarasija śaṅkha-cakrāṇi vidyām padmādarśai kanaka-kalaśam meghavidyud-vilāsam ।
vamottuṅga-stana mavirala-kalpa māśleṣa-mohāt ekībhūtam vapuravatunaḥ puṇḍarīkākṣa-lakṣmyoḥ ॥ लक्ष्मीचारु कुचद्वन्द्व कुङ्कुमाङ्कित वक्षसे नमो लक्ष्मीपते तुभ्यम् सर्वाभीष्ट प्रदायिने ।
हस्तैर्बिभ्रत्सरसिज शङ्खचक्राणि विद्याम् पद्मादर्शै कनककलशम् मेघविद्युद्विलासम् ।
वमोत्तुङ्गस्तन मविरलकल्प माश्लेषमोहात् एकीभूतम् वपुरवतुनः पुण्डरीकाक्षलक्ष्म्योः ॥
Meaning: Salutations to the Divine Father Śrī Lakṣminārāyaṇa, who is in a Divine embrace with His consort Śrī Lakṣmī creating a red vermillion mark on His chest. Praise be upon Him, who fulfills all the wishes and desires of His sincere devotees. He holds in His arms, a lotus (sarasija), conch (śaṅkha), discus (cakra), a book (vidyā) and a golden pot (kanaka-kalaśam) seated in a lotus posture. He shines forth with the appearance of lightning dark clouds. To His left, is His consort the large breasted Divine Mother Śrī Lakṣmī and together, they’re omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent in sustaining the entire Creation and offering their unassailable protection at all times. Praise be to the lotus eyed one and His consort, who usher auspiciousness upon the sincere devotees and ensure their well-being.
The red vermillion represents passion and the role of Śrī Lakṣminārāyaṇa as the Sustainer of the entire Universe. The lotus represents evolution, the cakra and conch blind us away from the distractions and help us attune to the Divine. The book denotes the sacred scriptures and all the knowledge that is required to lead a wonderful life and ascend to the higher levels of consciousness. The golden pot represents abundance that the Divine couple shower upon us.

Hold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the middle fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs. |

sam̐ sarvātmane karpūramiśrita tāmbūlādi sarvopacārān kalpayāmi namaḥ । |
सँ सर्वात्मने कर्पूरमिश्रित ताम्बूलादि सर्वोपचारान् कल्पयामि नमः । |
Hold the fingers of each palm in a folded manner with the tips of the fingers of both hands touching each other and the thumbs facing the heart, in a Namaste position. |

इति पञ्चपूजा ॥ |
Thus ends the Pañcapūjā. |
7.Mūlamantraḥ (मूलमन्त्रः) -
om̐ em̐ śrīm̐ hrīm̐ klīm̐ lakṣmīnārāyaṇāya namaḥ ॥
ॐ एँ श्रीँ ह्रीँ क्लीँ लक्ष्मीनारायणाय नमः ॥
The 14 lettered Śrī Lakṣmīnārāyaṇa mantra should be recited at least 108 times. Initiation is required.
Meaning -
This is a fourteen syllabled mantra with some syllables representing bīja (seed) mantras. The parts of the main mantra including the bījas are described below. –
- The bīja (seed) mantra “om̐ (ॐ)” consists of – ‘au’ => healing and deep cleansing, ‘m̐’ => removes misery. Ushers in auspiciousness.
- The bīja “em̐ (एँ)” represents the mātṛkā śakti Ekapadā devi, who represents all the triads that make up the Creation, such as the śakti-s (powers) icchā (desire), kriyā (action) and jñāna (wisdom) etc. It is also the yoni bīja representing Creation, Sustenance and Destruction and all other triads.
- The bīja (seed) mantra “śrīm̐ (श्रीँ)” consists of – ‘ś’ indicates Mahālakṣmī, repha ‘r’ indicates dhana or wealth, ‘ī’ indicates tuṣṭi or satisfaction, ‘m̐’ denotes nāda indicating parā or śakti and vindu indicates duḥkhahara or removal of all miseries. It is repeated for the fruition of all our desires.
- The bīja (seed) mantra “hrīm̐ (ह्रीँ)” consists of – ‘h’ => Brahman/śiva, ‘r’ => fire and drive within us, ‘ī’ => energy and the source of all power that helps us ascend, ‘m̐’ => removal of all miseries and facilitator of self-realization and ultimate liberation.
- The bīja (seed) mantra “klīm̐ (क्लीँ)” consists of – ‘k’ is for Kāmadeva or Kṛṣṇa, indicating all our wishes, aspirations and desires, ‘l’ for indra indicating victory in all undertakings, ‘ī’ for tuṣṭi, meaning fulfillment and contentment, ‘m̐’ for sukha, meaning enjoyment as well as removal of all miseries and facilitation of self-realization and ultimate liberation. This bīja indicates success in fulfilling all our desires to our contentment.
- The word “lakṣmīnārāyaṇāya (लक्ष्मीनारायणाय)” refer to the Divine eminence of Śrī Lakṣmīnārāyaṇa referred in the vocative case. Both Lakṣmī and Nārāyaṇa, are always together and hence referred to in this manner.
- The hṛdaya bīja (seed) mantra namaḥ (नमः) refers to our salutations to the Divine and constitutes a bond that is nurtured in our heart.

9. Dhyānam (ध्यानम् ) -

11.Samarpaṇam (समर्पणम्) –
guhyādi guhya goptvātvam gṛhaṇāsmat kṛtaṃ japaṃ ।
siddhirbhavatu me deva tvat prasadān mayī sthirā ॥
गुह्यादि गुह्य गोप्त्वात्वम् गृहणास्मत् कृतं जपं ।
सिद्धिर्भवतु मे देव त्वत् प्रसदान् मयी स्थिरा ॥
Meaning: O Lord, you are the most hidden secret of all secrets. May these mantra japa counts performed by me, be offered to you in totality. Our prayers and hope, are that your grace shall remain with us always.
