Sarvaviṣanāśaka śrī garuḍa pañcākṣari mahāmantraḥ
(सर्वविषनाशक श्री गरुड पञ्चाक्षरि महामन्त्रः)
Source – Sourced from a manuscript called Mantra Rahasya and Prapañcasāra sāra saṅgraha.
Initiation – Required.
Purpose – Removal of all types of poisons afflicting a person’s well-being. Complete removal of all types of kālasarpa doṣa, black magic, evil spells, bad karma, diseases and adverse health conditions.
1. Viniyogaḥ (विनियोगः) -
asyaśrī garuḍa pañcākṣarī mahāmantrasya ।
kāśyapa ṛṣiḥ ।
paṅktiś chandaḥ ।
śrī garuḍo devatā ।
mama sarvaviṣāni nirviṣa kuryārthe jape viniyogaḥ ॥
अस्यश्री गरुड पञ्चाक्षरी महामन्त्रस्य ।
काश्यप ऋषिः ।
पङ्क्तिश् छन्दः ।
श्री गरुडो देवता ।
मम सर्वविषानि निर्विष कुर्यार्थे जपे विनियोगः ॥
Meaning - This prayer/mantra japa is to invoke Śrī Garuḍa in our heart, perform mantra japa to obtain His complete grace in removing all negativity, all types of poisonous inflictions, diseases, adverse health conditions and ill effects of kālasarpa doṣa, black magic, evil spells and bad karma. The sage who visually saw this mantra (ṛṣiḥ) is Śrī Kāśyapa. The meter (chandas) for the mantra is Paṅkti of thirty-two syllables and its variations. The deity is Śrī Garuḍa. By the grace and command of our guru and the guru lineage, we pledge to undertake the mantra japa in full earnest.

Run both the palms all over the body. |

ॐ क्षैँ बलाय - अनामिकाभ्यां हुं । |
Use both the thumbs and run them on both the ring fingers. |

om̐ kṣaum̐ tejase - kaniṣṭikābhyāṃ vauṣaṭ |
ॐ क्षौँ तेजसे - कनिष्टिकाभ्यां वौषट् । |
Use both the thumbs and run them on both the little fingers. |
6 |
om̐ kṣaḥ vīryāya - karatalakarapruṣṭābhyāṃ phaṭ । |
ॐ क्षः वीर्याय - करतलकरप्रुष्टाभ्यां फट् । |
Open both the palms; run the opened palms of the right hand on the front and back sides of the left palm and repeat the same for the other palm. |

इति कर न्यासः ॥ |
Thus ends the six-part Kara nyāsa. |
4. Ṣaḍāṅga nyāsaḥ (षडाङ्गन्यासः) -

Open the right thumb and touch the back of the head. This is the point where there is a tuft of hair. |

ॐ क्षैँ बलाय - कवचाय हुं । |
Cross both the hands and touch both shoulders with the palms. |
5 |
ॐ क्षौँ तेजसे - नेत्रत्रयाय वौषट् । |
Touch the eyes with the right index and ring fingers, with the middle finger touching the ājña cakra. |

om̐ kṣaḥ vīryāya - astrāya phaṭ । |
ॐ क्षः वीर्याय - अस्त्राय फट् । |
Open up the left palm and strike it three times with index and middle fingers of the right hand. |
7 |
iti ṣaḍaṅga nyāsaḥ ॥ |
इति षडङ्ग न्यासः ॥ |
Thus ends the six-part Ṣaḍāṅga nyāsa. |
bhūr-bhuva-ssuvarom-iti digbandhaḥ ॥
भूर्भुवस्सुवरोम् इति दिग्बन्धः ॥
Meaning: May the directions be charmed and bound, to prevent any external obstacles from the powers residing in the triads – the Earth, atmosphere and the heavens.
5. Dhyānam (ध्यानम् ) -
amṛta kalaśa hastam kānti-sampūrṇa-deham sakala vibudhavandyam vedaśāstrairacintyam ।
vibudha sulabha pakṣairdhūya mānāṇḍagolam sakalaviṣa vināśam cintayet pakṣirājam ॥
अमृत कलश हस्तम् कान्तिसम्पूर्णदेहम् सकल विबुधवन्द्यम् वेदशास्त्रैरचिन्त्यम् ।
विबुध सुलभ पक्षैर्धूय मानाण्डगोलम् सकलविष विनाशम् चिन्तयेत् पक्षिराजम् ॥
Meaning: Salutations to Lord Śrī Garuḍa, the regent of all birds, humungous in size and the mount of Lord Viṣṇu/Śrī Kṛṣṇa, bearing the pot containing the elixir of immortality in His arms and glowing with the radiance of yellow light, hailed and worshipped by all the celestial gods and other extra-dimensional entities and venerated by the sacred scriptures such as the Vedas etc. The Divine Lord Śrī Garuḍa easily blows away and vanquishes all types of poisons inflicting the sincere devotees and eradicates the very cause (cells and eggs of poisonous germs).
Śrī Garuḍa is venerated for the removal of the most miserable kālasarpa doṣa and its ill effects, as well all types of diseases, adverse health conditions, black magic, evil spells and bad karma. He is extremely fast acting and reliable! The pot of elixir assures us of long life and cure from all types of ailments.

Hold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the middle fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs. |

vam̐ amṛtātmane naivedyam kalpayāmi namaḥ । |
वँ अमृतात्मने नैवेद्यम् कल्पयामि नमः । |
Hold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the ring fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs. |

sam̐ sarvātmane karpūramiśrita tāmbūlādi sarvopacārān kalpayāmi namaḥ । |
सँ सर्वात्मने कर्पूरमिश्रित ताम्बूलादि सर्वोपचारान् कल्पयामि नमः । |
Hold the fingers of each palm in a folded manner with the tips of the fingers of both hands touching each other and the thumbs facing the heart, in a Namaste position. |

Thus ends the Pañcapūjā. |
7. Mūla mantraḥ (मन्त्रः) -
kṣipa om̐ svāhā ॥
क्षिप ॐ स्वाहा ॥
The 5 lettered Śrī Garuḍa mantra should be recited at least 108 times. Initiation is essential.
Meaning -
This is a five syllabled mantra with some syllables representing bīja (seed) mantras. The parts of the main mantra including the bījas are described below. –
- The word “kṣipa (क्षिप)“ means “cast away and completely eradicate”.
- The bīja (seed) mantra om̐ (ॐ) consists of – ‘au’ => healing and deep cleansing, ‘m̐’ => removes misery. Ushers in auspiciousness.
- The Vahnisundarī bīja (seed) mantra svāhā (स्वाहा) represents complete submission and surrender to the Divine.
Salutations to the highly revered Divine in the form of Śrī Garuḍa (mount of Lord Viṣṇu/Śrī Kṛṣṇa) , the dispeller of all misery, poison, all types of kālasarpa doṣa and its ill effects, as well as all types of diseases, adverse health conditions, black magic, evil spells and bad karma.
8. Ṣaḍāṅga nyāsaḥ (षडाङ्गन्यासः) -

Thus ends the six-part Ṣaḍāṅga nyāsa. |
bhūr-bhuva-ssuvarom-iti digvimokaḥ ॥
भूर्भुवस्सुवरोम् इति दिग्विमोकः ॥
Meaning: May the directions get unlocked to allow ourselves to experience the grace from all the triads of the three realms.
9. Dhyānam (ध्यानम् ) -
amṛta kalaśa hastam kānti-sampūrṇa-deham sakala vibudhavandyam vedaśāstrairacintyam ।

11. Samarpaṇam (समर्पणम्) –
guhyādi guhya goptvātvam gṛhaṇāsmat kṛtaṃ japaṃ ।
siddhirbhavatu me deva tvat prasadān mayī sthirā ॥
गुह्यादि गुह्य गोप्त्वात्वम् गृहणास्मत् कृतं जपं ।
सिद्धिर्भवतु मे देव त्वत् प्रसदान् मयी स्थिरा ॥
Meaning: O Lord, you are the most hidden secret of all secrets. May these mantra japa counts performed by me, be offered to you in totality. Our prayers and hope, are that your grace shall remain with us always.
